"You're an idiot, Kim Taehyung."

My vision slowly focuses as my fingers tighten against something soft, the faint taste of Casablanca in my lips. My voice is like ash when I try to talk.

"Hyung?"

"Yeah, it's me." He says flatly, and I choke when he pours an entire cup of blood down my throat. My features twist in disgust, the sweet taste now gone.

"Hyung!"

"Did you really have to go that far to make the girl go through the same thing you did?" He snaps, flicking me on the forehead. "And you should know not to drink from yourself, you dumb moron."

"I know— I know. I just didn't want to take from her."

He gives me a long look.

"Yeah, you're still an idiot." He drones, and my eyes widen when I realize what he'd said before.

"Wait— Seolah? What do you mean she's going through the same thing I did?"

"Lie back down, dammit." He sighs, crossing his arms together. "Do you want to collapse like a sack of potatoes again?"

"I—"

Pursing my lips, I force myself back on the bed. I'd drunk too much, intoxicated with Seolah's taste in my own blood. It had really tasted like hers, even though drinking from her directly was always going to be a thousand times better.

But there was no way she was going to let me kiss her again, after what I'd done and the look on her face when I'd done it.

The moment I drag myself out of the room, a small figure crashes into my chest. Surprise widens my eyes as I realize it's Seolah, her cheeks flushed a light pink.

"Are you okay?" She mumbles, and I smile softly as I clasp my hands around her waist, lift her straight from the ground. The little stunned shriek she lets out makes me smile even wider.

I'd worried for nothing.

But when I try to kiss her, she suddenly blocks her lips with her hand, eyes two alarmed circles.

I laugh, feeling her tiny fingers scrabble  against my shoulder as I lift her hand from her mouth.

"I promise not to do that again."
