I feel like I've been made new.The first thing I do when I break out from the suffocating darkness is to take a deep breath, and I swallow the most freshest, coolest air I've ever tasted in my entire life.
My body feels light and unweighted, like I'm made of the same thing I'm breathing in. Blood is a living thing under my snowy skin, and I can smell everything, from the sweet scent of the bakery outside to the pungent cigarette a man is smoking.
And there's this smell of jasmine that's driving me crazy.
Sliding off from the bed in one swift motion, I relish the feeling of the lean strength running through my body as I walk briskly out the door.
The halls are empty, being early morning.
Where is he?
Impatience clouds my mind as I quickly make my way to his room, my bare feet agile and silent against the cold floors. When I push open the door, my eyes go alight.
He's there, lips slightly parted, hair covering the dark-lashed slit of his right eye. Early sunlight bath the sharp contours of his face, making his skin glow golden.
A devilish smile tugs at my mouth.
Without wasting another second, I run my tongue over the tips of my fangs as I make my way towards his unaware figure. I felt alive— and I wanted to share that with him.
Now.
Lifting back the covers, I slide myself underneath next to him and wrap my arms around his body as tight as I can. The first thing I hear is his surprised gasp, trying not to laugh when he instinctively squirms.
His broad back shades the sun from my face as he scrambles to sits up on the bed.
"Seolah!"
Then he tackles me into a hug, and the laughter I'd held back bursts out of me as he squeezes my body to his chest.
"How are you feeling?" He says quickly, his hands wrapping around my cheeks. His eyes are watchful as it glides across my face, before he pushes apart my lips.
"Hey!"
"Fangs are there." He confirms, too excited to notice the faint blush in my cheeks. I nearly bite him then and there, his hand in my lips. "You're a vampire."
My eyes widen in excitement, and I can't deal with his scent.
It's so amazing.
So I just go for it, sitting up on the bed easily and kissing him. His grip tightens on my wrist, and a devilish smile splits my lips as I push against his shoulders, kiss still connected.
I could do this forever.
Swinging one leg over his body, I sink my other fingers into his soft hair. Our foreheads press together, and I break away, shifting instantly down to kiss his neck.
He's shivering under my touch, and when I look up quickly to check that he's fine, our eyes meet.
His is wide and expectant.
"You smell so amazing." I say, my fingers loosening and tightening against the material of his shirt. "Taehyung, I can't believe— how did you stay away from me at first? If I smelled like this?"
"I loved you hard enough." He smiles, and I feel warmth settle in my chest as I look at his face. "Even when I didn't know you."
"You don't have anemia." I say, my lips pursing into a grin.
"That means I can bite you, Tae."
