“That lying sunavabitch!” Hailey growled taking a sharp right as we were being followed, when Mason had left we were only able to take one car for all of us because we had just made it out of the woods when Avia told us we were being followed.
“Maybe someone was with him and called it in when the first got there?” I asked and she shook her head still pretty pissed, Blake was sitting next to her telling her where to go, Avia was in the very back Jace was next to me.
“This is bullshit.” She growled out drifting around another corner, how in the hell did all my friends get so good at this?
“Babe calm down, keep going straight until you see the next turn.” She nodded and floured it before looking at the window seeing as they were getting farther and farther back.
“We just have to keep losing them and then find a bus stop that is taking us at least half way to Kansas so we can meet up with this women.” Avia added opening the trunk and dropping nails tacks and even broken glass onto the road.
“Avia!” We hit a bump in the road causing Avia to almost fall out, I jumped over the back grabbing onto her arms before she could fall out she was screaming as Jace got in the back throwing her back in and slamming the door shut, I looked to see the cars who were following us stop because there tires had gone flat.
“Be more careful Hailey!” Avia snapped holding her hand to her chest.
“Well sorry that I’m trying to get us out of here before they fucking catch up to us, maybe you shouldn’t have been stupid enough to open the back door!”
“OK you two stop it! We don’t have time for you two and you're fighting, Hailey calm down and at this next turn pull over we are walking the rest of the way.”I muttered seeing that there was a bus sign.
“Fine.” She growled pulling over and Blake grabbed one bag with all of our clothes packed inside while Jace grabbed the money and I sighed getting out of the car, Hailey stashed the keys under the wheel incase we needed it later Avia was waiting for all of us still looking pretty pissed off.
“So I got in touch with Teresa before we left and she said she was going to meet us at the bus stop, she also knows who this woman is and where to go cause she loves to research.” Avia mentioned as we all started walking, Jace grabbed my hand holding it tight.
“So she thinks she can find a way to make it so I don’t have to give up all of my blood?” Blake nodded and motioned us to go more into the woods and we complied walking, it would be another couple miles.
“Well you are a sight for sore eyes.” I felt my eyes widening seeing Teresa now had black hair and she was wearing a black tank top with blues jeans, her glasses were the same but she wore a little bit of eyeliner.
“Well you upgraded didn’t you? When does the bus get here?” Avia asked sitting down on the bench, Hailey sighed running her hands through her hair Blake wrapped his arms around her waist laying his head on her shoulder.
“Just breathe it’s gonna be ok.” I went up to the window Jace following behind me.
“Hi can I get six bus tickets going to Kansas.” The guy gave me a look I pointed to my friends and he nodded starting to ring it up.
“Who are you running from?” Jace stiffened next to me and I glared.
“What do you mean by that?” He snorted.
“I see teenagers like this running all the time kid, but if you don’t want to go back home and face the music then be my guest.” We exchanged money for the tickets.
