        I laid in bed fading in and out of consciousness for the past couple hours whatever they gave me this last time made me nauseous whenever I tried eating anything my mom had to go to work so i’ve been home alone for two days just laying in bed going to the bathroom and drinking water, I sighed letting my eyes droop when I heard my front door opening snapping my eyes open I got myself out of bed grabbing the baseball bat next to my door and walking slowly out into the hallway and getting to the stairs I looked over to see a tall figure and came out to swing the bat but stopped halfway.

“What are you doing.” I snapped holding my hand over my heart, it was Jace. I looked around him to see Hailey who was held up the key I gave her to the house, it was to sneak in when my mom was sleeping.

“We came to check on you sense you haven’t come back to school, you obviously look like hell and now I know why. He on the other hand was worried about you so he tagged along.” I cocked an eyebrow he was staring at me intently… Then I remembered what I was wearing, short shorts and a purple tank top.

“You know, I’ll be right back cause I feel very awkward so go into the living room and sit down.” I raced to my room throwing on a baggy hoodie and some pajama pants before walking to my door to see Jace leaning against the wall, he looked up and before I knew what was happening I was pulled into a hug I relaxed hugging him back loosely.

“Avia hasn’t recovered either she just feels dizzy all the time, for some reason I don’t feel affected.” He mumbled and I sighed, for some reason they treat the categories Aggression and Happiness the same way so I could only imagine how this is making her feel.

“It should blow over by tomorrow.” He nodded not letting me go, and I honestly didn’t mind at all because I was loving how warm he was.

“Hailey and I got pretty worried.” I nodded but stopped before pulling back to look up at him.

“I would have been fine, you don’t have to care for me so much.” He gave me a look and I snapped my mouth shut.

“I care about you because I like you, plain and simple and I just want to make sure your ok.” The last part dropped as he pulled me close resting his head on top of mine.

“Ok love birds I am getting so bored so to the living room or what?” Jace and I broke away as I walked towards the living room where Hailey was standing smiling.

“Ya sorry so how’s school been?” She gave me a questioning look before sitting on one of the black leather couches.

“Uneventful well other than Diya has been looking for you pissed to no end that her nose broke when you punched her, other than that nothing really.” I nodded sitting down Jace sat next to me.

“Are you going to tell her or will I have to?” Jace asked suddenly and Hailey gave him a cold look before looking back to me she pulled a pack of cigarettes out of her bag handing them to me and I cocked an eyebrow.

“You might want to light one up for what I’m about to tell you.” I scrunched up my eyebrows before I took one out.

The cigarette dropped from my hand landing on the carpet Jace picked it up and put it out before trying to say something to me Hailey was to but I had completely tuned them out right now, someone contaminated my blood so that the test were all invalid everything I had to go through was gone it was tainted. I felt like I was trapped I felt like my world was crumbling around me and they both seemed to notice, I never got like this but having to be in that hell for two hours having blood taken from me then being pushed back in with different things different stuff I couldn’t figure out what I was feeling right now.
