I stepped out of the shower, and yanked off my embarrassing shower cap, even before Archie could see me in it. No, of course I don't wear it all the time, but I just got my hair done before I got home and it would've been ruined if I let it get wet. I felt uncomfortably metrosexual, but it had to be done. I have to look good for this stupid event--including my hair.

As I dried off I glanced at the clock, seeing I had half an hour before Bucky and Connie got here. The more I thought about it, the more it stressed me out. Connie is inevitably going to see Archie and I didn't know how I felt about that. I still don't know if she even knows he exists. How am I going to explain him? I can't just say that Archie's mum abandoned him while he's in the room. And I can't just not say anything. This is a pretty big secret...

With a sigh I walked out of the bathroom and into my room to get dressed. Archie was still sitting on my bed, playing with a few of his toys. "When's Bucky coming?" he said, flopping onto the mattress.

"A little while," I muttered while buttoning my shirt. "Are you excited to hang out with him?"

"Yeah."

"Good, you'll have lots of bonding time with him." My pants were pulled up my legs and I frowned at how straight the legs were. I usually wear my jeans tapered or something, but these were just...straight down. I felt like a nerd. As I tucked my shirt in I grumbled, "God, I hate this."

"You look like Tony Stark."

I smirked and threaded my belt through the hoops, "Yeah? Maybe these pants aren't so bad after all." He nodded. "So, rules for tonight."

"Okay."

"I don't want you to stay up late. Even if I'm not back yet, you have to go to bed. And don't eat me out of house and home."

"I can't eat a house."

I rolled my eyes, "You know what I mean. Don't eat all the food. I should probably tell Bucky that too." The doorbell rang and all the blood immediately drained from my face. "Shit."

"It's Bucky!"

"Freeze! Don't move, I answer the door." He frowned but stayed in place on the bed. I let out a breath and quickly checked myself in the mirror. Damn it, I should've shaved. Damn it, damn it. Archie groaned impatiently from my bed, forcing me to get over my stubbly face. I snatched up my jacket and hurried down the stairs.

God, I'm freaking out. I'm fucking freaking out. I shouldn't though. This'll be fine. It's no big deal. So what if I kind of have a kid? Who cares?

Connie will probably care...considering she doesn't like little kids--well...kind of. Fuck.

I tossed my jacket on the couch as I made a beeline towards the front door and yanked it open. "Hey," I breathed. "Uh-" I was just about to ask them to come in, but that plan was shot to hell when I took in Connie's outfit. She wore a long sleeved and formfitting dress that matched my suit perfectly. The best part is she wasn't showing anything off. There was no cleavage, it wasn't super tight, but fit her just so you could see her curves. It was the devil's teasing handiwork, I'm sure of it.

When too many seconds passed, I just stepped back to let them in.

"Don't you look sharp?!" Bucky chuckled, patting me on the back as we walked further into the house. "You clean up nice!"

"Thanks," I muttered glancing at Connie. She gave me a smirk, like she knew exactly what she was doing.

Then it happened.

"Bucky! Bucky!" Archie shouted as he ran into the room. "Bucky, I--" he skid to a halt when saw Connie, his shyness suddenly rendering him speechless. New people were always his weakness.
