٭ Six. Stroll in the Forest. ٭
ONCE MORE I ENDED UP BACK IN LEX'S CAR getting in quickly before any of of his aggressive and stalker tendency friends. Lex was currently talking to the tall male one. I sat quietly looking at my phone wishing for him to talk a bit faster.
It would be an extreme blessing if he did. I didn't know Lex that well so it's not like I was telling him not to have friends, but his friends made me uncomfortable. Specifically the one with the nose piercing; Mara. Something about her was dangerous. I didn't trust her.
I wouldn't put it past her to try to trip me in the hallway, and the worst part was that I have fifth period with her. She glared me down the entire period. How I missed her was an extreme example of how you didn't notice people until you saw them.
Unless you were a people watcher. . .
I looked at Lex as he nodded at his friend. And then they bid each other goodbye as Mara's eyes narrowed in on the blacked out windows. Something I had never been more grateful for in my life than in this moment.
Lex got in the car and let it rev to life. "Sorry about the wait." Lex spoke as he got up into the car. "No problem." I lied. Lex nodded as he pulled out of the parking lot and then he turned the car around and then was off once more.
Lex turned the radio off and then connected his phone. Lex had one of the newer cars that would connect your phone to the speaker and even let you accept calls. The type of cars that all us broke people wished for. I looked over as Lex smiled at me. And off we were.

When we pulled up I knew mom wouldn't be there. She was doing some grocery runs. "Are you busy today?" Lex asked turning to me. "No why?" I asked. "Well I'm going on a r-walk, and my friend canceled. I was wondering if you wanted to take his place?" Lex asked.
"Are they going to bite my head off in school tomorrow." A smile lit Lex's face as he looked at me. "No of course not, even if they find out they'll be smart enough not to say anything. But none of them live around here." Lex spoke with a smile.
"So the only way they'll know about it Ambrosia is if you tell them." Lex told me a smile tugging at his lips as he parked his car. "So you down?" Lex asked. "Let me put my stuff away and change." I told him and Lex smiled at me and nodded.
And I exited his car and went to my new house and unlocked as I went inside and flicked on the lights. Setting my bag down I went further into the house and went to my room and pulled out my jogging pants and tank top and put them on before going outside.
Lex was waiting outside leaned up against his car as he looked up at me and a small smile crossed his face as he brushed some hair out of his face. "You ready?" Lex asked and I nodded at that as I ran a hand through my hair unsure of what else to do.
Lex smiled. "Okay it's this way." Lex spoking pointing ahead of me to where a trail came out near his house.
"There's trails around here?" I asked and Lex nodded.
"Yeah, but this one I made from walking for years. But it's nice." Lex spoke giving me a smile smile as we walked through the forest. "It's nice here." I spoke looking at the towering woods and Lex nodded at that. "That it is." Lex spoke looking around the woods with a smile.
"Have you always lived here?" I asked Lex and he turned to me and nodded at that. "Yeah. I grew up here. It's why I'm so close with my friends." Lex spoke. "Moonbrooke is a very close knit town. That I can assure you." Lex spoke looking at me.
