The Ship of Theseus
They had promised
To be together forever
Their ship of love sailed,
Wading through the calm water
Only to find a tempest
And to falter.
She jumped off the ship
For she preferred to die alone.
A boatman saved her life
And gave her food, shelter and hope.
Nevertheless,
A ship needed to face
The high tides in summer.
Few boatmen later, she found another ship
But she was reluctant to go afar,
So they sailed close to the land
Trying not to sway;
But a wild night under the stars
Made them sail away.
Away from all the boats
At the horizon.
There she met her lover,
In a new ship now
Which would sail forever.
She smiled,
Going back to the ship of Theseus called Love;
And when it faced a tempest,
She jumped off yet again.
Another ship drowned, another lover lost.
She wept into the sea all her life,
And she wept with such fervour
That the sea water has been salty since,
And will be salty forever.
AN: This is going to be a slow burn and if you want to get to the smutty parts you need to hold on to your horses. I have really focused on the story here and I think it's going to be worth your while. It contains many trigger warnings so I'm not going to be repeating these warnings before every chapter so as to not give anything away. Here's a forewarning- there's going to be lots of serious issues fit to be discussed among mature audience, sexual content, cuss words and depiction of substance abuse.
Enjoy the story, make love not war and your votes and comments will be appreciated. Thank you.
