Finny's Plan

“This is ridiculous.” Ciel frowned. Currently, he was wearing a green and red suit along with a bright red Santa hat. Standing next to him, Sebastian wore almost similar attire, with the exception of reindeer headphones instead of the Santa hat.

“I agree, but we need to stop all these pumpkins!” The butler hung another garland of paper snowflakes on the chandelier. That was only one of many snowflake decorations bordering the room. They had been decorating for almost a full day and a half, putting up Christmas ornaments, lights, trees and ribbons around the mansion. Along with all the red, green and white colored decorations were the brown, yellow and red colored Thanksgiving ornamentation.

“Where should I put the fake turkeys?” Finny held up a hand full of stuffed animal turkeys to Ciel.

“Anywhere there’s a spot.” The child sighed as he looked around his holiday-confused house. The only thing missing was anything related to Halloween. Which was good in all of their perspectives. Instead, it looked like Santa’s workshop having the Thanksgiving pilgrims over for the week.

“I like this idea.” Sebastian sauntered down to Ciel. “Now they can’t put anything on the house since we have decorations already in place.” Then he picked up the ladder he used and moved it to the nearest wall.

“I guess. I just hope it works and everything can go back to normal soon.” Ciel sulked as he watched Sebastian grab more red tinsel to hang from the ceiling. “Don’t over use that, we still need some for the dinning room.”

“Right. Hmm? Oh, dear.” Sebastian muttered as he glanced at the wall. To his right was a small hole with the tip of a green vine sticking out. He only noticed it because he was almost nose-to-nose with the wall. With a subtle glance towards his young master below, he gently pulled at the vine. When it stuck at a point, he pulled harder. Soon even Ciel could tell there was something in the wall when Sebastian had to lean backwards to pull.

“What is that?” He cautiously asked as his butler continued to strain against the wall. Soon the pale man was braced with both feet against the wall, pulling the vine as hard as he could.

“I, ugh, don’t know! But it’s something, ack-big! And it’s stuck!” He grunted as the wall started to crack.

“Er, Sebastian?” Ciel started to say. He was ignored and watched as the crack grew into a gap. “Sebastian!” He shouted as the gap suddenly became a hole that crumbled onto Sebastian, who fell with a yell. Soon there was a pile of pumpkins, streaming from the hole. Ciel could only gape at the orange waterfall coming from his wall.

“Young Master?” Sebastian was still lying, buried under all the orange.

“…Yes?” Ciel slowly answered. He was still processing what was coming out of his wall.

“Please tell me these aren’t what I think they are. Please.” Ciel couldn’t even spot a speck of his black butler, but he could tell Sebastian was losing it.
