“I just hope we don’t go back to a Halloween themed mansion.” Ciel yawned to his purple-haired friend. Prince Soma nodded adamantly, especially after all the stories Ciel told him. The group had arrived at Ciel’s other mansion a few days ago, unruffled and exhausted. Once they had all recovered on their sleep, Soma sat with Ciel to hear the story.
“Yes. That is a rather unusual experience. Do you know who could be behind it all?” He asked. Ciel sighed and took another sip of his prepared tea.
“I have my suspicions, but every time I try to confront them, something happens or they aren’t available. It’s ridiculous how far they would go to make Sebastian crazy.” He muttered into his tea. Soma hummed in agreement.
“Maybe they’ll come to you instead. You know, once they realize you aren’t in your house. “ He tried to comfort Ciel. Just when the other boy was about to respond, the game room door burst open.
“Bonjour!!” Lily sang at the top of her lungs. Sam smiled gleefully with her pumpkin treat bucket.
“I’m sorry! I couldn’t stop them!” Agni cried behind them. The three ran into the room; two of them tackled Ciel and the other hugged Soma.
“Ciel! We looked everywhere for you!” Lily screamed in his ear.
“EVERYWHERE.” Sam deadpanned next to her. “Literally. Everywhere but here.” Ciel sighed and was about to yell at them, but the house phone rang. Soma jumped up to answer, but then motioned for Ciel to run to the phone.
“Hel-oh, yes. I-I-no. Sorry? Y-yes that-no. I’m so sorry!” Ciel frantically tried to apologize to the speaker on the phone. Lily snickered before running back out of the room, pulling Sam behind her. Ciel was too busy to notice, and Soma and Agni didn’t have the chance to say anything to him.
LATER
“Those jerks! Those obnoxious idiots!!! Do they realize how many calls I’ve received because of them?!” The blue-haired child ranted as he furiously paced around Soma’s room. Soma himself was sitting cross-legged, falling asleep even though he had a tantrum-throwing child in front of him. “All of them were complaining about the Halloween decorations and pumpkins! Pumpkins everywhere!
“Hmm. That sucks.” Soma interjected, just so Ciel would think he was listening.
“I know! Plus they’re all blaming me for some reason!” He continued on with his rant until Agni and Sebastian ran into the room.
“Masters, we have a problem!” Sebastian panicked. “Come with us!”
... ... ... ... ... ... ...
“You weren’t kidding.” Soma said in a daze. Now his home was decorated outrageously in orange and black with pumpkins everywhere. Bat streamers hung from the ceiling, inflated pumpkins lined the halls, rugs were exchanged with Halloween themed rungs, and the walls were covered with fake spider webs. What made it worse was the fact that orange lights replaced all the normal light bulbs so the house had an even more Halloween atmosphere.
“When did they have time to do this? We were here the whole time!” Ciel shouted as he punched a nearby pumpkin. Sebastian himself was sitting on a black and orange-stripped chair with his head in his hands.
“How are they human? Not even a demon could do this.” He muttered to himself. Agni was trying, but failing, to comfort him. Soma was just staring around at his house in awe.
“So this is how you celebrate Halloween, huh? Amazing!”
“NO! Not amazing! Frustrating!” Ciel shouted at him before running his fingers through his hair.
“I suppose so. Especially when you have to clean all of it up.” Soma mused. Agni nodded his head slowly in agreement, while patting his fellow butler’s back.
“They followed us everywhere! And then decorated the heck out of the place we stayed! The Caretaker’s has an orange sign covered with black cats along with his decorated coffins, Lau and Ran-Mao’s place was wrapped in cotton spider webs, Elizabeth’s manor was surrounded by inflatable pumpkins and somehow, SOMEHOW, got into the Grim Reaper’s library and recovered the books into Halloween covers! They also stickered the bookshelves with every Halloween sticker possible! How are they doing this?!” Ciel ranted, once again.
“Isn’t Halloween this week? Like tomorrow?” Agni asked.
“Yeah.” Sebastian didn’t even look up.
“So then, wouldn’t the decorations be pointless after the holiday?”
“Yeah! Yes! No more decorations! No MORE!” Sebastian jumped up and pumped his fists into the air excitedly.
