Michelle stormed into the penthouse with a look of anger in her eyes. Peter was currently seated on the couch with Harley deep in conversation when he took notice of her. He stood up and smiled completely oblivious to her apparent anger. "Michelle! Glad you're home," says Peter with open arms. She however stops and crosses her arms glaring at him.

"You know guys I think I am just gonna go..." says Harley awkwardly as he grabs his coat and heads for the elevator as fast as he can. As soon as the doors ding closed all hell breaks loose. "Why didn't you call me?" asked Michelle with a slight growl, "I have to find out on the news that the Avengers compound was blown to shit! Then for a solid hour I cried because I THOUGHT YOU WERE DEAD! YOU NEVER CALLED ME!"

Peter shrank a little, "Look MJ I -"

"Oh no no no no no, you are not getting yourself out of this one Parker. I THOUGHT YOU DIED! I CALL HARLEY NO ANSWER, I CALL YOUR DAD AND NO ANSWER THEN I FINALLY GET THROUGH TO STEVE AND HE TELLS ME THAT HE HASN'T GOT A CLUE WHAT HAPPENED AND THAT HE WAS ON HIS WAY TO FIND YOU! THEN HE FUCKING CALLS AND SAYS YOU'RE ALIVE! BUT NOOOOOOOOOOO YOU DON'T TAKE THE TIME OUT OF YOUR FUCKING BUSY SCHEDULE TO CALL THE MOTHER OF YOUR CHILD AND TELL HER THAT YOU GOT OUT OF THE BUILDING AND THAT YOU WERE SAFE. BECAUSE THAT WAS SOOOOOOOOO MUCH TO ASK FOR!" screamed Michelle. She stood in front of a saddened looking Peter her chest rising and falling rapidly from all her shouting.

"Michelle I know you're worried, I am an asshole for not calling you. I am so sorry...I know I can't make up for it. There is no excuse that can justify me not calling you. But I am okay, May is okay and I took down the guy who blew up the Compound and we are searching for the guy that impersonated Harley," says Peter softly as he slowly approaches Michelle. She however takes a step backwards, "Peter you say that you're sorry but do you know how I felt when I saw the rubble and the smoke on TV?"

Peter hung his head in shame, "MJ -"

"I was distraught Peter, I broke. I thought the man that I loved died in that building. I thought that May would have to grow up without her father and only hear stories about him, but then...then you don't call and I have to find out from Steve that you were okay. Do you know what you put me through? Do you even care?" asked Michelle with tears in her eyes.

"I do care MJ, with everything that was happening I just...forgot," says Peter with a defeated voice. Michelle let out a scoff, "You forgot, you forgot to call me to let me know that you were safe. Wow..."

"MJ please I said I'm sorry," says Peter with a pleading expression as he took a step towards her. She backed away again, "I need time to...to think about everything." She pushed past him and made her way towards the bedroom, Peter was certain he heard the door slam. The moment it slammed he heard May begin to cry.

Peter made his way to her room and slowly entered. He approached her cradle and looked down on his daughter the moment he looked at her the crying ceased. "Hey baby," whispered Peter as he picked up May, "Sorry about the loud noises, Daddy was being an idiot and annoyed Mommy." She giggled at her father as he bounced her softly in his strong arms. "You hungry hmmm?" he asked softly as he headed towards the door, "Daddy sure is."

He sat May into her high chair and sat down on the breakfast stool and began feeding her some mushy peas, "You know when I was a kid I used to hate mushy peas. My Aunt May told me a story about when I was your age. I hated them so much I used to knock the spoon out of my mom's hand. But you...you love them don't you?"

May smiled as she ate another spoonful of mushy peas, "That's because you're a good girl." When he finished feeding May he cleaned her mouth with the sleeve of his hoodie, "There you go all clean." Peter picked up May and made his way back to her room in another attempt to lay her down for her nap, however May seemed to have other ideas and when they entered her room she began to cry quite loudly.
