Peter sat in class writing a complex series of equations in his notebook. He was so invested in the book in front of him he didn't notice the teacher Mrs Jobs speaking to him.

She eventually snapped the book straight from his hands giving him a glare.

"Peter no doodling in class," said Mrs Jobs sternly, she glanced at the page and then her eyes widened in surprise at its content.

"Actually never mind Peter, this is incredible! Why aren't you in college!?" she asked him with awe and wonder. Many curious students were peeking to see what was in the book and we're mumbling possibilities to each other. Peter simply shrugged in response to Mrs Jobs exclamation. He could see Michelle had a smug, yet proud smile on her face and Peter gave her a small awkward smirk in response. He was never one for enjoying the spotlight.

Their teacher proceeded to ramble on about his genius for a few more minutes before handing Peter back his book and going back to the top of the class, although many eyes remained on Peter. Mrs Jobs cleared her throat to gain everyones attention again, immediately everyone diverted their attention to the front once more.

"Okay everyone we've got an exciting announcement for you all. Because we did so well at this year's science fair we've been granted a tour of Stark Tower!" she said with a happy squeak of excitement. The class all began talking excitedly about the upcoming trip.

Peter groaned and slid down in his seat in anguish. Only he would end up touring his own work place, how could this happen? He caught Michelle's eye and she was giving him a very concerned look. No doubt there would be a long conversation between them later regarding his attendance on the trip.

When the class was dismissed Peter rushed out of the door and started heading towards the cafeteria, he wasn't going to give anyone the chance to say anything to him about his internship.

Once he grabbed a full tray of food he sat at a table by himself and began to ponder how he would get out of this one without his Dad or any of the official Avengers noticing. If he went he'd be embarrassed, but if he didn't then everyone would think he's a liar about his internship. He didn't know what to do.

"Seriously you had to run out like that," said a soft voice with a slight chuckle. Peter turned in his seat to see Michelle behind him with a sandwich in her hand. She sat down on his right and gave him a piercing look, it felt as if she were looking directly into his soul.

"Wanna tell me what's wrong?" she asked calmly. Peter froze like a deer in the headlights, uncertain of what he was supposed to say. Michelle laced her hand in his and gave a light squeeze.

"You're worried about the trip aren't you?" she asked quietly. Peter nodded not speaking but looking down at his burger and fries as if they were interesting.

"If you are really this worried Pete then you should talk with your Dad about this. I know he'd do anything to make sure you were happy. But if I were in your shoes I'd go to the trip and prove to everyone that you haven't been lying," said Michelle sagely as she leaned her head on his shoulder.

Peter leaned his head on hers and closed his eyes for a moment thinking things over, "You're right MJ I'll go on the trip and talk this over with Dad."

Michelle smirked a little as she snuggled in closer, "Of course I'm right Pete, I'm never wrong." Peter chuckled but didn't disagree.

Peter walked through the doors to the compound and his permission slip weighed a ton in his rucksack. He could feel his nerves mounting with each step he took.
