We had been driving for a while now and it was silent and somewhat awkward. I didn't like it so I decided to try and break the silence. "So what's the plan?" I hummed.

There was a moment of silence and I thought that maybe Optimus was just focused so I turned my attention back to the window. "We must find the cube and keep it out of Megatron's grasp, by any means necessary." He replied, a slight growling to his tone. It seemed as though Optimus and this "Megatron" dude had some history, which made me wonder what happened. It was hard to imagine that Optimus would ever be ruthless or rude in any manner, he didn't seem the violent type.

I then realized he had mentioned by any means necessary and Ratchet's earlier reply came to mind. "Wait, Optimus. Are you saying that you might have to sacrifice yourself?" I leaned forward, hesitant for his answer.

The a/c let out a gust of air and I assumed that was his version of a sigh. "If I must." He uttered and I bit my lip. I may not have known him that long but I felt a connection, he cared about me.

"But Optimus, don't your autobots need you?" I stated at a low tone. He didn't reply and I bit my lip -again, not caring about it being worn, unsure of what that meant. Optimus reminded me of a knight in a way. He clearly possessed a very noble attitude, always putting others ahead of himself. He also was a protector, that much was obvious as well.

"There's no use trying to convince him otherwise. Optimus is one stubborn mech." Ratchet remarked.

"But there's got to be another way. There's always another way." I cried.

"(F/n), loss is an unfortunate side effect of war. We must do what we have to to stop this war." Optimus was the one to reply this time.

I shot a look at the console and crossed my arms. The seat belt tightened a little like he was trying to calm me down but it didn't. "Do you really think that by destroying this "cube" that the war will be over and poof! The decepticons are done being evil?" I accused.

Optimus sighed again, though this was more exasperated than the last. "I will do what I must to protect you and all other humans, all other beings, in the universe." He growled and I threw my head back against the headrest. I knew I had touched a nerve and upset him but he seemed to be slightly narrow minded.

Evil people don't stop being evil because their initial plan was thwarted. They just come up with something else to ruin people's live with. The same had to have been true of these robots. Considering they had been fighting a war for such a long time, I highly doubted the focus was on this cube. But what did I know?

A horn blast interrupted my thoughts and I glanced up and I spotted the infamous yellow and black Camaro heading our way with a few military trucks following him. We all skidded and did a u-turn, Optimus ending last. I held onto the handle and groaned a little. "Optimus? Is the commlink to Bee open?" I asked.

"Heya sis, we hear you." Sam responded, his voice coming through Optimus' radio.

"I'm so glad you guys are okay." I smiled.

"You should've been there (f/n). It was so weird but cool. They had Megatron in a hanger but he broke free so we grabbed the cube and peeled out of there. We're headed to Mission City." Sam relayed and I shook my head with a smile.

I heard the faint sound of police sirens and glanced around but I didn't see anything. "Sam you hear that?" I asked and he mentioned that he didn't. It wasn't until a few moments later that the sirens were loud and prevalent. I glanced in the side mirror and saw an all too familiar cop car coming up behind us with a mine sweeper behind it. "Shit, Optimus that's the cop car that's after Sam!" I shouted, patting the seat fervently.
