"School starts back up in a couple months and I want nothing to do with it." I sighed into the phone wedged between my shoulder and ear. I was currently trying to pick out an outfit for my parent's anniversary party when Optimus had called.

Time had seemed to pass fairly quickly since the end of school which was both exciting and very daunting. Soon I'd be going into senior year of high school and I was nowhere near ready to go back. I had so much to think about, such as what to do after this year. Everyone had already begun applying for colleges and I had been looking at several different places but that all changed once I came into contact with the autobots. Sam wished to move on from the autobot life that he lived for a few days and go back to being normal, but the truth is, we aren't normal. We have a transforming car in our garage to protect us in case the deceptions come after us again. We are the small handful of civilians that even know about these metal titans.

I knew that I couldn't go back to the way things used to be, nor did I want it to. My home was with the 'bots. "Do you know what you wish to do once you graduate?" Optimus' voice flooded my ear and I lowered the shirts in my hands.

"I was hoping I could join up with you guys. Unlike Sam, I can't return to a normal human life. I'm not even human!" I growled.

"I am not sure that would be a wise decision (f/n)."

"I disagree Optimus. It'd be safer to be with you guys. I'm one of you." I admonished. I heard his vent through the line as he relented.

"I will not force you to stray from our path, I just do not wish to put you in harms way."

I smiled a little and shook my head as I decided on a (f/c) off-the-shoulder tube top that had short, frilly sleeves. "I'm choosing that path Optimus, you aren't putting me anywhere. Besides, we'd actually get time together." I pointed out as I searched through skirts and pants.

"I suppose you have a point." He vented again and I chuckled.

"Don't sound so sad about it Optimus."

"I am not sad, simply worried." He replied and I rolled my eyes. I finally decided on a pair of light-wash, distressed skinny jeans to go with my top along with my grey ankle boots. "What time is this party you are attending?" Optimus suddenly spoke up, reminding me he was still there.

"It's in an hour, I'm trying to get everything together. People normally show up as early as thirty minutes before the set time." I sighed and placed my phone down, putting it on speaker while I changed.

"Should I let you go then?" He asked and I shook my head before remembering he couldn't see it.

"No, you're fine." I amended as I slid my shirt over my head. I quickly finished getting dressed before picking up my phone and smirking as an idea hit me. "Wanna see what I'm wearing?" I purred. There was a pause before shifting of metal which led me to assume he was moving. "If your mind went where I think it did then we have issues sir." I teased and heard a vent from him.

"My apologies, your phrasing did not help the situation." He replied, almost ashamed and embarrassed. I chuckled and smiled, pulling my phone from my ear and snapping a quick picture of myself in my mirror and sending it to him.

"I could send you a picture like that." I teased and waited for it to sink in.

"You may want to refrain from teasing me (f/n). I do not appreciate it, I do believe we are trying to take things slow." He finally rumbled and I blushed.

"You're right, I'm sorry." I bit my lip and scratched the back of my head.

"Don't be." He quickly amended before I heard him shift and his voice lower, "I am not alone and the others have a habit of listening in on my conversations." He murmured and my eyes widened in realization. "I do believe that outfit would be best left on the floor." He quietly purred and a shiver ran up my spine.
