We climbed onto the Black Pearl and and Elizabeth waited for Will to wake up. Frida came to me chattering, from joy. She was happy to see me. She climbed on my shoulder and I smiled. "Hey girl. I'm back."

Gibbs came up to Jack and I. "Where's the Commodore?" He asked.

I frowned and held onto Jack's arm. He looked worried at me and stated.
"Fell behind."

"And my prayers to him." Gibbs put his head down a couple of seconds. Then he looked up at us. "Best not wallow in our grief. The bright side is, you're back, and we made it off free and clear." He inquired.

The Flying Duchmen shot up from, the waters and the crew looked afraid.

Gibbs looked. "Lord on high, deliver us."

I got worried. "Jack what do we do."

Jack was oddly unafraid and spoke. "Don't worry, I got this."

He lifted the jar over his head, smiling as he yelled to Jones. "Ahoy! Fishface! Did you lose something? Eh? Scungilli!"

Davy Jones stares at Jack in utter disbelief. The longer he stares, the more he disbelieves.

Jack continues his capering on deck, and fell down the staircase. Everyone winced at seeing it. I laughed at his childish idiocy.

The crew stared at him as if he'd gone mad. Jack shot up, showing the jar. "I got it! Come to negotiate. Eh?" He stood up and started bragging while walking. "I got a jar of dirt! I got a jar of dirt! And guess what's inside it!"

We froze once we saw the cannon ports on the Flying Dutchman opening.

"Hard to starboard." We both said in unison.

Elizabeth was the first to react. "Hard to starboard!"

Everyone scattered about getting ready to move the ship. Cannons are fired and the window to the captain quarters were blown open. More cannons were shot and I dodged them, running to Gibbs. I gently pushed him aside and grabbed the wheel, adjusting the course.

I steered the ship catching the wind to get away faster. I watched the sails fill and we moved faster.

"She's falling behind!" Elizabeth shouted.

Gibbs smiled. "Aye! We've got her!"

"We're the faster?" Will questioned.

I nodded at him. "Yes, we are with the wind."

"Aye! Against the wind the Dutchman beats us. That's how she takes her prey. But with the wind." Gibbs smiled

"We rob her advantage." Will interrupted. Gibbs nodded. Will turned looking back hopeful.

Jack came up too me and kissed me. I was surprised, but kissed him back. "What was that for?" I asked, confused.

He grinned. "You did a great job."

I just stared at him. I do know how to steer ships and sail one on my own.

Will came over clearly pissed. "My father is on that ship! If we can outrun her, we can take her! We should turn and fight!" He fumed.

Jack smiled. "Why fight, when you can negotiate?" Jack tapped the jar. "All one needs is the proper leverage." He assured.

Suddenly the Black Pearl lurched and sailors fell forward. The jar was knocked free, tumbled to the deck. The jar shattered, and Jack looked at the sand all over the deck.

"What was that?" Elizabeth asked.

Jack races down to the deck, drops to his knees, paws through the sand like a dog burying a bone. It was just the sand.

"Where's the thump thump!" He worried.

The ship groaned, shuddered and was pulled to a stop. I held on to the wheel tightly and tried to get it to move. It would not budge. "Don't say it." I said to myself.

I ran to the ledge and looked. I saw bubbles and my eyes widened. "No!"

"We must have hit a reef!" Elizabeth exclaimed.

Will frowned like he heard it before. "No. It's not a reef." Will grabbed both of us. "Get away from the rail!"

"What is it?" Elizabeth asked.

"The Kraken." Will stated.

I went to Jack and sat on my knees. I put my hand on his shoulder. "Jack, it will be fine." I said, assuringly. "I am not leaving you."

Jack stopped sifting through the sand and sat up, terrified. Jack looked at the black spot still on his palm. I put my hand over top of it. "Look at me." He looked at me worried. I smiled. "We can fight."

"To arms! Load guns, defend the
masts! Boathooks to the prow, don't
let it get a grip! It will attack to starboard. I've seen it before! Set cannons and hold for my sign." Will shouted.
