We got out of the boat and moved off. Jack handed Elizabeth the compass. She opened it. He peeked at the heading, and set off. Elizabeth and Norrington followed. I sighed and went along with them.

Norrington looked at an abamdoned church and said. "I didn't expect anyone to be here."

"There's not." She stated.

"You know this place?" He asked.

"Stories. Isla Cruces. The Church
came to the island, and brought
salvation ... and disease, and death." She said, knowingly.

"It was said the priest had to bury everybody, one after the other." I looked at Norrington and smiled. I grabbed my belt and put it around his neck. He halted his steps, startled."It drove him mad, and he hung himself."

Upon releasing him, he looked at me scared. I laughed and put N.Y. belt back on.

"Better mad with the rest of the world than sane alone." He smiled. Elizabeth regarded Norrington, a little worried.

Jack scurried over to me and put his arm around my waist. "No fraternizing with the help love."

I raised my brow at Jack. I made way to Norrington. I kissed his cheek and slowly made way to his lips. As he regesters what is happening, I pulled his face closer to me and deepened the kiss. He put his hands around my waist and felt up my back.

I smiled and pulled away. "Your a suprisingly good kisser."

I walked to Elizabeth and held her hand. "Come on, sister. I want to help save Will."

She held my hand and continued walking and Norrington made a gesture to motion Jack in front of us."Oh, after you sir."

He looked at me and winked. I giggled at Jack groaning, watching the both of us.

Jack handed Norrington his shovel, then followed after Elizabeth and I. Norrington brought up the rear. Jack waited impatiently, as Elizabeth and I, followed the Compass. I had a feeling he wanted my attention, but I refused to give it to him. He needed to know how it feels to get jealous.

Suddenly, the needle swung around the opposite direction. She turned, and was facing Jack. The needle swung away. She turned to follow, and it swings back, again toward Jack.

I took it from her, holding it firmly and sighed. "The chest could certainly not be much farther."

I saw the needle point to Jack and walked closer. I walked closer amd laughed. The needle turned the other way. Frustrated, she sat down in the sand, and tossed the compass away.

"It doesn't work! It doesn't show you
what you want most." She huffed.

Jack and I looked at it. It was pointing to her. I realized she was on the chest.

I sighed."Liz, are you daft?"

"Yes it does. You're sitting on it." He said, impatiently.

"Beg pardon?" She asked comfused.

"Move." Jack unceremoniously shoved Elizabeth aside, makes an "X" in the sand with his toe. Looked at Norrington expectantly and whistled.

Norrington took the hint, and started digging. There was a konk ing sound, as the shovel hit something. Jack and
Norrington lifted out the chest. Jack used his shovel to break the lock.

He sunk to his knees. Lifted up the lid; a long white dress, a lovely conch
shell, dried flowers, a strand of white pearls, lace, love etters... all mementos of a love gone bad. Jack dug through, pushing stuff aside, then he came to it. He lifted out the smaller chest inside made of iron. The lock on the front was disproportionately large. Decorated with inlaid pearl, in the design of a heart that when lpened turned into a crab.

We all put our heads to the chest and listened. There was nothinng but silence, then a single, deep, heart beat throbbed.

"It's real." Elizabeth gasped.

You actually were telling the truth.

"I do that a lot, and yet people are
still surprised."

"With good reason"
Elizabeth and I looked over and saw Will was there. Dripping wet, still
breathing hard.

"Will!" We both yelled, as we raced toward him and embraced him tightly.

"My best friend is back!" I shrieked.

"You're all right! Thank God. I came looking for you." She smiled.

Will wrapped his arm around our waists and He kissed Elizabeth. I pecked his cheek.

Jack scanned the seas, worried.
"How did you get here?"

"Sea turtles, mate. A pair of them,
strapped to my feet." He remarked.

Not so easy, is it?" Jack joked, smiling.

"But I do owe you thanks, Jack." He sneered.

"You do?" Jack was confused.

"After you tricked me onto that ship, to square your debt to Jones-" He smirked.

Elizabeth glared at Jack. "What?

What?" He tried sounding confused.

"I was reunited with my father." He finished.

"You're welcome." He smiled

Elizabeth looked dismayed.

"Everything you said to me... every
word was a lie." She snarled.

"Yes, pretty much. Time and tide, love." He stated.

She looked at me and my eyes flicked with guilt. "You knew about this!" She assumed.

I looked down and sighed. "I did."

She went to slap me across the face, but I caught her wrist and held it firmly.

I narrowed my eyes at her. "I knew he would escape. Clearly you do not know your fiancee as well as you thought!"

I threw her hand down and she growled. "And you do better!"

I rolled my eyes. "Next time you strike a pirate, make sure they do not expect it." I smirked, as she stormed away.

He stated and looked at Will. "What are you doing?" He frowned.

Will kneeled at the chest, key in hand, and his father's knife in the other.

"I'm going to kill Jones." He stated.

I heard the ring of a sword being drawn, and then a blade was at Will's throat. Jack's.

"I can't let you do that, William. If
Jones is dead, then who's to call
his beastie off the hunt? Now, if
you please, the key." He demanded.

Will slapped Jack's sword away, jumps back. Another ring was heard, as he drew Elizabeth's sword. He pushed us back and faced off against Jack.

"I keep the promises I make. I intend
to free my father. I hope you're here to see it." He smirked.

Another ring is heard and Norrington had drawn his sword, facing it to Will.

"I can't let you do that, either. Sorry." He interrupted.

"I knew you'd warm up to me eventually." Jack smiled and went closer to Norrington.

The point of Norrington's sword moved to Jack. Jack stopped and all the men had their swords at one another.

"Here we go." I looked at Elizabeth.
