Jack grabbed my hand and pulled me saying.  "Come!"

I yelped surprised. He untied the longboat. He ushered me forward and I shook my head. "No! Please, Jack don't do this."

He threw me over his shoulder and climbed down the ship. We entered the long boat and he set me down across from him. He grabbed the oars and rowed.

Jack glanced over his shoulder at his destination. Isla Cruces was not too far away. We could make it. Tears threatened to spill down my face, as I thought about Will, Elizabeth, Gibbs and the rest of the crew getting hurt.

I looked at him, my tears now pouring down my face and cried. "Jack, please! If any part of you cares for my feelings. You will turn back!"

I put my hands over my face sobbing. "I c-can't lose Will and Elizabeth! I-It'd be u-unbearable!"

"I-I-I made a p-promise not to leave you a-and I w-will keep it." I shook my head violently. "If you leave things the way they are right now I will never forgive you!"

I held my arms tightly. I will never see them again! I can't do this, but I promised myself and Jack I would not leave! I cannot break it.

Jack stopped rowing the boat and I looked at him, hopeful. "Jack?"

He kept his head down. A swell tossed us sideways and the compass rolled free. Jack picked it up, opening it and looked at it. He stared down at the reading, and cursed. I looked at him and smiled hopeful.

Jack looked back toward the island. I could tell he wanted to leave, but something was stopping him. Jack looked down and snapped the compass shut.

He scooted over to me and kissed me gently. He grabbed the oars and turned the boat around. He looked at me with regret in his eyes. "Sorry, Ember."

I smiled, drying my tears. I laughed happy and hugged him tightly. "Thank you!"

I climbed up the ship on deck and saw Will hanging by a rope attached to barrels of gun powder and rum. I ran climbing up to Will.

He was yelling to Elizabeth to shoot the rifle. I saw Jack grab the gun and shoot.

Will saw me and shouted at me angrily. "Ember! What are you doing?!"

I cut his foot loose. He grabbed me holding me firmly. We both landed on the deck and flaming debress fell around us. The barrels exploded and Several tentacle arms are blown away. Other tentacles caught fire and withdraw through the ship, sizzling as they hit the water.

Will got off of me and helped me up.

I hugged him tightly. "Thank goodness!"

He hugged me back and I saw Jack hand Gibbs the rifle.

"He's right. We can make for the
island." Elizabeth, insisted.

"That's a lot of open water." Pintel said, scared.

"A lot." Ragetti followed.

They all considered the merits of the plan.

Will let me go. "We can get away as it takes down the Pearl."

Gibbs agreed. "Aye! Abandon ship! Abandon ship or abandon hope!"

Gibbs, Pintel, Ragetti, Cotton, Marty, the crew, Will, head for the boat, as the Kraken circles. Jack re-loads the rifle and defends the retreat. Elizabeth hung behind. She and Jack are the last two left on deck.

"Thank you, Jack." She smiled

We're not free yet." He stated. She moved toward him.

"You came back. I always knew you
were a good man."

I went to the cabin amd grabbed my journal. I saw Jack manacled to the mast and realized what Elizabeth did and why. I ran to the longboat.

I yelled to Elizabeth from the ledge. "Liz! I'm sorry for not telling you about Will."

I looked at Will and smiled. "Thank you for being the best friend I could ever have."

They both looked at me perplexed. I smiled sadly. "I love you both." I took my journal and threw it to Elizabeth. She caight it by reflex. "I entrust this to you, Will. I am staying behind to help give you guys a chance."

I looked at gives and gave him a look that said "push the boat away." He nodded and did so. Elizabeth tried getting out of the boat. "No! Ember!"

Will grabbed her and held her back. "Let me go!"

Will looked at Elizabeth. "This is the fate she chose! We need to respect her wishes."

Elizabeth sobbed into Will's chest. I grabbed Frida amd smiled at her with tears in my eyes. "Time to go girl." She ran down and climbed on Will's shoulder. I grinned at Will. "Take care of them!"

He looked at me with sorrow in his eyes. I saw him fight himself from crying. I turned to Jack and saw he escaped the manacles. I ran to him with a sword.

I kissed him and he looked at me shocked. "I told you I was not going to leaving you again."

I saw the kracken and smiled. It was half up the ship. Jack ad I stood alone. as the gaping maw of the beast opens and a blast of deadly air hits Jack, the stench of a thousand corspes. The hideous roar of a creature of another era. Jack sniffs. I hid behind Jack so the gunk from the mouth didn't hit me.

He shivered in disgust and sighed. "Huh. Not bad, really."

Jack saw his hat, and snaged it, putting it on. He straightened it and I could tell he felt better. Looked up, and faced the beast. "Hello, beastie."

We took our swords and lunged forward to the depths of the mouth.
