I was in a jail cell after my mother was taken from me. I looked at my filthy violet dress that was tattered and torn. I saw feet approach my cell and glared looking up to the face. I saw my uncle and smiled. "Ts'eyuum! The killed na'!"

He gazed at me with pity on his face. "My dear, as of right now, you are no longer of Aztec lineage. You follow our ways."

I put my head down. "Ma'! I refuse to throw away whatever person I currently am, to exist as their puppet!"

He begged me. "Please. I only have you and Elizabeth."

I walked backwards and stopped at the cell wall. I shook my head and hissed. "Ma'."

I sat in the cell, hugging my knees, as I thought.  Maybe I should have agreed to do what they wanted. I would not die.

Some time passed, I heard a commotion, and saw a pirate. He looked at me and opened the door with the key. I was confused but smiled at him. "Thank you. Pirate.."

He smiled. "Captain Teague."

My eyes opened and I blinked a couple times. I thought about that day.  What is happening to me? Why am I dreamimg about these memories? For what purpose do they serve me?

I looked over and saw Jack laying down next to me. I sighed moving re hair out of his face. He shifted to his side and pulled me to him. He put his head on my stomach, and I was surprised. "I'm sorry Jack."

He moved his head, looked at me and smiled. "Its fine. Luv."

He sat up and went to the table. He got his effects on and handed me mine. I put them on and grinned. "I will. Wait i dont know who hurt you, but I will wait for you."

He looked taken aback and smiled. "Aye."

Norrington worked on his hands and knees, head bare, scrubbing the deck with his wig. Jack's boots appeared before him; taps, then uses his toe to indicate a spot.

"A bit of manual labor is good for
you, James." He leans over looking at Norrington. "It builds character."
Jack grinned, and Norrington suppressed the urge to strangle him.

Elizabeth furtively crouched under the stairs. She set down a stolen bottle of ink and a quill pen. Unfolded the Letters of Marque, smoothed them out and glanced around She dipped the pen into the ink, ready to fill in a name. Suddenly the Letters are snatched away.

Elizabeth followed after Jack, who idly examined the letters. She glared at him. "How dare you!"

"These Letters of Marque are supposed to go to me, are they not?" He asked.

Jack glanced at the bottom and paused, stunned. "There's a signature."

She sighed. "Yes, they are signed. Sir Cutler Beckett, of the East India Trading Company."

I noticed Gibbs giving Jack a fearful look. Jack nodded. "Beckett."

"Will was working for Beckett?" He asked.

Jack sighed. "And never said a word of it."

Gibbs continued. "Beckett wants the Compass. Only one reason he would want the Compass."

I got mad and started swearing. "That god damn, no good, blazing slimy coward!" I took out my sword, sneering upon seeing my reflection, and imagined his blood on my blade.

I put it back and grabbed my pistol. "When I see that man he will pay?! I cant wait to see his blood for myself!"

I touched the beaded feather tied in my hair and grit my teeth that was my mother's, and remembered her legacy.

I cocked my pistol and pointed it at Norrington head. "I will come up to him unexpectedly like this."

I smiled amd put it away to see Norrington look at me scared. I laughed darkly. "He will die for killing my mother."

The crew looked at me scared. "Get back to work!" I snapped. They all scurried back to their posts.

"He's after the chest." Jack looked to Elizabeth for confirmation. She was aware of having left that point out. I got an alarmed look on my face.

"Beckett did say something about a chest." She confirmed.

Not not what any of us wanted to hear. Gibbs looked at Jack and I.

"If the Company controls the chest,
they'll control the sea!" Gibbs exclaimed.

Jack looked at Elizabeth angrily. "A discomfiting notion."

"And bad! Bad for every mother's son
what calls himself "pirate!" I think there's a bit more speed to be coaxed out of these sails.

Jack pointee to the letters curiously. "May I inquire as to how you came by these?"

"Persuasion." She glared.

"Friendly?" He asked.

"Decidedly not." She huffed

"Funny thing. Will strikes a deal for
these and upholds it with honor. But
you're the one standing here with
the prize." Elizabeth was a bit taken aback by that.

"Full pardon ... commission as a
privateer on behalf of England and
the East India Trading Company..." He read.

Norrington looked up at upon bearimg that, then continued scrubbing.

Jack stuffed the letters in his jacket and smirked. "As if I could be bought, not for this low of a price. Fate worse
than death, living a life like that..."

Elizabeth pleaded to Jack. "Jack. The letters? Give them back."

"Persuade me." He sighed.

"You do know Will taught me how to
handle a sword." She glared.

"As I said... persuade me." Jack grins.

Elizabeth stared at him, then looked to me, and smiled angrily before walking away.

I looked away and noticed Frida was no longer on my shoulder. I saw her tormenting the crew and smiled.

I spent time chasing her around the deck and playing with her, when I heard Gibbs yell. "Land, ho!"

Jack grabbed his jar of dirt and I giggled. "I want my jar of hurt."

Elizabeth, Jack, Norrington, and I boarded the longboat. I sat next to Jack, who was holding his jar of dirt tightly. Ragetti and Pintel were rowing and arguing.

Pintel groaned. "You're pulling too fast."

"You're pulling too slow. We don't
want the Kraken to catch us." He responded.

I noticed Jack winced with each mention of the creature.

"I'm saving me strength for when it
comes. And I don't think it's krack-
en, anyways. I always heard it said
kray-ken." Pintel said.

"What, with a long A? Krock-en's
how it is in the original Scandinavian, and Krack-en's closer to that." Ragetti argued.

"Well, we ain't original Scandanavians, are we? Kray-ken." Pintel remarked.

Ragetti snapped at him. "It's a mythical creature and I can calls it what I wants."

If it's so mythical, then why are
you pulling so fast?" Pintell argued.

I mentally swore and yelled at them both. "Ka'abet ka'ap'éel parando. Ma' importa bix u ya'ala'al. Supera le percebes..."

I took a deep breath, glaring at them. "Shut up."

There was a splash in the water. I smirked at it. "I bet that is the kracken coming for you two first. And is going to use its teeth to send you both to the locker."

They turned to look... started rowing more quickly. We made it to Isla Cruces. Jack set his jar into the boat. Stripped off his jacket, grabbed a shovel, putting it over his shoulder. He looked at Pintel and Ragetti.

"Guard the boat. Mind the tide... Don't touch my dirt." He demanded.
