| Will you go out with me? |

"Jaemin, pick up the damn phone."

Jeno muttered under his breath as he attempted to call his boyfriend for the fifth time.

He was in full panic mode. Realizing what he had just done, Jeno did the only thing he could think of, as his mind was clouded at the moment and he couldn't really think that well.

Mark texted him a couple of minutes ago. The words, 'I'm gonna do it' flashed in Jeno's head and more worry crashed over him. Jeno thought he was really doing something good. He seriously thought that he was helping Donghyuck. But now that Mark was actually doing it, made Jeno realize how much of an idiot he was for even thinking of an idea like this.

What kind of friend would ask their friend's crush to pretend to like them?

Giving up, Jeno threw his phone across the room. Not really caring if it cracked at the moment. He left the house, uttering a quiet 'I'll be back' to his parents, leaving them confused (and yes, he picked his phone up before leaving).

He ran all the way to Jaemin's house, not wasting any time. Knocking on the door, Jaemin's mother answered. "Jeno, sweetie. What are you doing here so late?"

"Where's Jaemin?" Jeno was quick to the point.

"Oh, he went to hang out with Donghyuck for a while. They should be back soon."

"Where did they go?"

"I think to the ice cream shop just around the blo--"

"Thank you, Mrs. Na!"

Jeno once again, ran off leaving another person confused. But Mrs. Na didn't say anything. She just closed the door and went back to doing her thing.

This is not how Jeno expected his Friday night to go. Not in the slightest.

Finally getting to the ice cream place, Jeno pushed the doors open and ran inside. Looking for his boyfriend and best friend, Jeno felt like dying when he didn't see either of them. Well, that's a bit extreme, but he did feel like crying.

Where the fuck are they?

Jeno ran a hand through his hair and he gulped. Maybe it was too late.

Sighing in defeat, Jeno walked out of the shop, not caring if he embarrassed himself. He decided to just try calling Jaemin one last time.

Surprised, Jeno looked up from the ground when he heard a familiar ring tone nearby. He looked around and stopped when his eyes landed on someone.

Jaemin looked bad. Jeno could see the sadness and regret in his eyes from where he was standing. Jaemin and Jeno stood there, having a staring contest, about twenty feet away from each other.

Jeno still had his phone to his ear. Jaemin answered his phone and eventually brought it up to his ear. Still staring at each other, Jaemin whispered into the phone. "I messed up, Jeno." Before letting out a couple of tears he was trying to hold back by biting his lip.
