| Jealousy |

---

Mark sat in the library attempting (and failing) to study for an upcoming test. Spacing out, he jumped when he felt a hand on his shoulder.

Looking up, Mark furrowed his eyebrows when he saw the person standing in front of him.

"Oh, hi..."

"Jungwoo."

"Ah, that's it, you're the new kid, right?"

"Yes, can I ask you something real quick?"

Mark closed his book and put his full attention on Jungwoo, "yeah, what's up?"

Jungwoo sat down on the opposite side of Mark. "Rumors have been going around school. Did you by any chance ask out Donghyuck?"

Mark recalled that night. It's only been the weekend, how would anyone know? Did Donghyuck tell everyone? Did someone see them? Mark had an internal battle going on. Maybe Donghyuck didn't tell anyone. What if Donghyuck would rather have no one know?

He doesn't know Jungwoo like that. He might not be as innocent as he seems. So should Mark tell him the truth, or should he lie?

But Mark can't bring himself to lie, because lying is wrong.

"Yes, I did."

Jungwoo nodded, "Mark, what you're doing is not right."

"What do you mean by that?"

Maybe Jungwoo knew about how it's fake. But how could he know all of that?

"I mean that you asked Donghyuck out but you're still seeing Lucas."

So, Jungwoo doesn't know that it's fake. But he does know about Lucas.

Wait, how could he know about us...

"You don't want to break poor Donghyuck's heart now, do you?" Jungwoo sat up from the chair and leaned over to Mark. Whispering by Mark's ear, Jungwoo smirked, "I don't care if you like him, Lucas is mine. Stop seeing him. You don't know what I'm capable of."

"He ran away after I kissed him. I followed him to a park and Mark asked him out and he said yes."

"Oh, so Mark has the guts to ask someone out while seeing me. He doesn't even like the kid. He has no idea who he's messing with."

"Lucas..."

Jungwoo started to talk when Lucas cut him off.

"I do not share what's mine. Donghyuck cannot have him as well."

Jungwoo was ready to head out of the empty classroom. He was hurt. He didn't like hearing Lucas refer to Mark as his. He's going to have to do much more than threaten Mark to get Lucas.

"Your plan didn't work Lucas... what happened has happened. Why don't we drop this--"

"Jungwoo can you just shut up for two seconds?!"

Lucas finally snapped at Jungwoo.

Tears were on the verge of falling, but Jungwoo held them in.

"Do you think that one kiss will all of the sudden make Donghyuck not love Mark anymore?! Of course not! All I need you to do is get Donghyuck away from Mark, that's it."

So close to breaking, Jungwoo held himself together. Jeno, you need to be quiet when you talk next time. You never know where Lucas is. Now look, he knows about Mark asking out Donghyuck.

"Yes, Lucas," Jungwoo whispered.

Jungwoo wished he never transferred schools. Lucas would never have used him to get another guy. Or, if Jeno just kept his mouth shut... then maybe Donghyuck would still be wanting Mark, but Mark wouldn't know. And Mark would still be wanting Lucas, but Lucas wouldn't know. And Jungwoo would still be secretly wanting Lucas, too. Oh wait, that's what he's doing now. But at least he wouldn't be in the position he's in now.

Because now Lucas is using him to get Donghyuck away from Mark.

But Jungwoo is secretly threatening Mark so he could have Lucas.

Leaving the classroom, Jungwoo could feel the tears going down his cheeks, onto his chin, and finally falling onto the floor.

"Jungwoo?"

Turning his head, the boy spotted Donghyuck with a worried look across his face. He hid his face hoping Donghyuck would leave.

"What happened, Jungwoo?"

Donghyuck walked over, the look on his face growing bigger when he saw Jungwoo.

Scanning his worried eyes over Jungwoo's face, Donghyuck brought his hands up, wiping away the tears. "Why were you crying?"

Jungwoo shook his head, "why are you worried about me after what I did to you?"

"I forgive you, Jungwoo. Really. I know you've heard the rumors, and they're true. So that being said, I'm happy now. And since I'm happy now, I've learned to forgive you."

Jungwoo felt relieved, he really didn't want to do that to Donghyuck.

"Now enough about me. I'm boring. Why were you crying?"

His mood suddenly dropped after remembering why he was crying.

"C'mon, it's okay to tell me. I promise I won't tell anyone, my lips are sealed."

Donghyuck brought his hand to his mouth and pretended to zip it and then threw the zipper away.

"Lucas."

More tears began welling up in Jungwoo's eyes.

"Oh no, Jungwoo. What'd he do?"

"He likes someone else... someone who isn't me."

Donghyuck pulled Jungwoo in his embrace. He rubbed circles on his back, "I know how it feels, Jungwoo."

"Why do I have the sudden urge to punch that new kid?"

"It's called jealousy."
