I reach the masjid just in time for my hifz class. I greet salam to the teacher and the present students and sit to learn my portion.
After revising the previous day's portion, I decide to talk with my friend, Faizah. Faizah has been my friend for a year now and since she is older to me and already in college, I respect her like my elder sister.
"Salam. How are you?Seems long since we talked," I ask.
"Waalaikum assalaam. I am fine alhamdulillah. How is school going for you, kiddo"
"Going okay. What about your college?"
"Going good as always. I feel that one of the best decisions i have made was to join sharia' college. Subhan Allah, the things that you learn are just mindblowing."
"Subhan Allah "
"Is everything going alright with you?"
"Yh, fine. Hmm.. tell me a story to keep me motivated to learn more about Islam."
I knew that Faizah had a rough past. She said she had changed a lot and I wanted to know how.
"Well.... okay.." She takes a moment to think on what to say. "When I was your age, I wasn't very religious. I went for movies and listened to songs. I had crushes like every other girl. But funny enough, all ended up to be jerks. I missed my classes a lot too, because there was a lot to study for school. But alhamdulillah, instead of going for med school or engineering, my dad suggested sharia' college. At first, I was hesitant. But now, alhamdulillah, I have learned from my mistakes. I want to be the best in Allah's eyes. You learn the whole tafsir of the precious Qur'an in my college. So, you understand it a lot and reflect it in your life! I know life can get hard for you. Especially during the teen years. But just remember this is a test for you."
"Do your best and pass this test"
After talking a bit more, we hear a "shush" from our teacher. We both turn away. Anyway, I gotta finish learning my hifz.
Walking back home, I am delighted. Maybe because there is no homework today. Woohoo!

The week passes by. I do not go for the movie day at Alex's house. I am pleased to know that they had fun though. At home, I walk around the house like a dead zombie.
Before I know it, it is back to school. "Umm.. I think I would like to go back home!" I say to my friend,Liya when I reach the school grounds.
"Why is school so not fun?" I whine more.
"We do have our exams coming this month!" my friend adds cheekily.
"Yeah, thanks for the much needed reminder!" I reply back with a sarcastic face.
"Anyway, do you want to hang out later this day? It can be a fun time out from our lives?"my friend asks.
"Nope, sorry but not today! What about tomorrow? All fine with you?"
"No way. I have a match to see on T.V.!"
"Really, which one?"
"Oh, it is just a match where Neymar is playing!"she replies with a rosy blush on her face.
I shake my head at her. I finally stop when I think my head might just roll off.
"Back to the actual point, not today, not tomorrow. What about day after?"
"Hmm.. sounds okay. Oh wait, i have an assignment submission for the day after day after tomorrow."
"Wait.. what?"
"You know how we all do things at the last moment. Well, i have an assignment to submit on thursday. So I gotta do it on wednesday."
"Do it today!"
"Have a bit kindness left for me too. I can't do it today!"
"Hey, I am kinder than you think I am." I reply
She starts laughing at that remark. I give her false tears back. I know that she knows that I am a good girl.
"Ok then. Let's settle it for wednesday. That is the day to wed."
I give her a bewildered expression. Okay, I know this girl is crazy but please, wednesday is the day to wed. Oh wait, I think I taught her that joke when we were small. Great, so now, I am the crazy one.
"Just kidding, my lady. Anyway, if we postpone it for later than wednesday, it would be better to not plan, because we will be too busy to go,"
"Ok then, see you then."
We hug and we depart.

If you have any suggestions, please message me.
But other than that, thanx all for the views, votes and comment.
