My Love, My Life, My Everything

Katniss's P.O.V

"Oh Peeta, you make me the happiest girl alive." I say as we lay in out hammock on the beach. 

Peeta and I took vacation off from work. We both need a break. We work fourteen hours all day everyday at the same office. Our cubicals are across the room from each other. So I never see him. I do on ocasion when I do pass his cubical. But I don't have time to talk. Peeta and I took a five day vacation to Hawaii.  I've never been here before.

"We should go swimming." Peeta suggests.

"Okay." I say

We go back into the house. We change into our swimming suits. We go back to the beach and we go into the water. At first it's cold. Peeta laughs at me when I first go in.

"Kat, it isn't that cold." He says teasing me.

"Yes it is!" I say and stick my tounge out at him. He rolls his eyes.

Once the water reaches our mid thighs, we start to swim out. I go under the water. I see the fish and reef. 

'It's so pretty.' I think.

I go back up for air. Peeta is treading water and looking up at the sky.

"It's even more beautiful here." He says. 

I look up. I see the sunset. "It's so beautiful." I say.

"So are you." He says.

~Next Day~

"Katniss, wake up." Peeta says. I open my eyes. I see him dressed and ready to go somewhere. 

"Where are you going?" I ask, groggily. 

"WE are going on a tour. There are these falls that I want us to see." he says. 

I give him a look. 

"Come on, Kat. I really think you don't want to miss this." He says.

I sigh. "Fine." I say. "I'm coming just give me a second to get ready." 

He smiles. "Hurry. W don't want to miss it." He says. 

I kiss him. He leaves. I change into some leggings and a cute top. I wear good shoes. I put my hair in a messy bun. I go out and meet Peeta. 

"Ready Kat?" He asks.

"Ready." I say.  

"It's about a twenty drive to get where the tour starts." He says.

"When does the tour start?" I ask.

"10:00." He says.

I pull out my phone. "It's 9:30 now. We better leave." I say.

We go out front to where our rental car is. We drive to where the tour starts. There is a small group of about eight people. The tour guide comes right at 10:00. 

"Aloha everyone." She says. 

"Aloha." The group says. 

"Thank you all of you for coming today. The hike is about a hour long. We should be there by 10:30 and back bye 11:00. We strongly encourage you to take photos. This is a very beautiful hike." She explains.

The hike starts off fairly easy. After about fifteen minutes, it inclines up the mountain and it because a little bit harder. Peeta and I fall behind the group.

"Come on, Kat. Let's try to catch up." he says.

"I really need a break." I say out of breath. 

Peeta stops. He comes to me. He crouches down. 

"What are you doing?" I ask.

"Come on. I don't want to be left behind." He says. 

I smile. I sit down on his shoulders. He stands up. 

"Careful!" I say.

I hold onto both of his hands. He runs to catch up with everyone. We make it to the falls. I get down off of his shoulders. A lot of people are taking pictures. 

"Peeta.....this place.....is so beautiful." I say. "I wish I could freeze moment in time forever."

"You'll wish you could." He says. 

He holds my hand. I smile at him. He smiles at me. Then suddenly.....he gets down on one knee. Everyone gasps and they are taking piuctures of us and are being excited.

"Katniss Everdeen....I've loved you ever since we were young. You make my whole life have meaning. You're always there for me and you're my rock. I want to spend my every waking days with you and by your side. So please......will you marry me?" he says. 

I nod. "Yes. I will." I say and start crying. 

He slides a diamond ring on my finger. He stands up and hugs me. Everyone is clapping. 

"I love you, my everything." I say.
