Hey people! How are you? Want some popcorn? *offers popcorn*

So, lets get started. Today, we're gonna be talkin' about planning. YES, it's very important! You may not realise this, but it's what makes your story..how do you say.. GOOD!

It dosen't matter what type of story your writing. Even if you're just doing one of those soppy romantic stories, you still need a plan of how it will play out. There are very few people who can open up a 'new story' and suddenly just start typing what their story will be about. At least plan out what you think you are going to write about in that chapter. Trust me, it does help.

Not convinced? Okay, lets do an example. How about the 'original' idea of  "An ordinary (brown haired) girl falls for a really hot vampire with a 6 pack." Yes.. very intersting and unique.. anyway, lets expand on it.

So what do you want to happen in the first chapter? The girl going to school and being 'ordinary'? Or the vampire arriving in town and the girl falling for him? Okay, so now you have a few ideas for the first chapter. What about the second? Will she find out he's a vampire, or would you like to take the story slower? It's up to you and how you want the story to play out. Just make sure you know what your writing about! Or else i gaurantee you'll be sitting on your comfy leather seat, staring blankly at the computer screen, waiting for the whole chapter to pop out at you! Yeah, ain't gonna happen like that, sista.

Tip:

Plan what you're going to write! If it's on paper, on a little notepad on your computer, or even in your head! Make sure you have an idea of whats going down on the blank white page! Some of you may be thinking: "Ugh! It'll take forever to plan!" Well, that's where you are wrong! Studies have shown(not really) that you will save hours planning first because you know exactly what you will write, instead of improvising on the page and 'writing on the spot'.

Trick:

Check out other writers (doesn't have to be on Wattpad) stories, and see how they like to start their first scenes. Especially authors that are writing in the same genre as you or even in a similar plot style! (for example, if someone else is doing a story about a girl/vampire love saga..*snore*) Just make sure you don't write it exactly as they have! It's just for inspiration.

Caution

Now I know this whole chapter I've been telling you to PLAN PLAN PLAN! And yes, that is correct. just be cautious not to over-plan. Don't try to figure out what you're going to write for every single chapter of the story when you still haven't even written the first chapter! For example, I'm sure author @Reekles didn't plan her love story "Head Over Heels" to be 83 chapters long, right? What I've realised is that your story will develop over time! After you have written a chapter, you may feel as though you want to change what will happen to a certain character in the proceeding chapter, as they have probably progressed through the book, and maybe even have a different viewing point now from what you first imagined.  See what I mean?

Okay, well I think that's all for today! I hope I have helped! Ugh, now I have to go do some gardening outside. Yuck. Well, I am getting paid twenty dollars, and its a beautiful day! So it'll be good to get some Vitiman...D? Anyway, Ill get a new chapter up tommorrow! Please Vote, fan, comment! Also, if you have any tips, tricks or cautions of your own, please feel free to shoot me a message! Ill make sure to include you in the next chapter! Thanks :D
