Jimmy's POV
Chloe and I waited for Megan to arrive, today was the day she'd come back to California, and more importantly, officially back to me. She told us she'd be here sometime in the afternoon, and as the afternoon hours slowly started going by, we grew more and more anxious. Just before Megan left for Minnesota for their stuff, she left Chloe's bags from the hotel just inside the door. She knew where my extra key was still, I hadn't changed it just in case she ever decided to come back and I wasn't home.
Chloe was lying on the floor in the living room, drawing in her notebook. I watched her, and for being a little kid, she was really good. I had bought her a bed and the guys came over to help me put it together when we first got back, and I tucked her in every night. She told me everything that she already knew about me, and I smiled at the fact that Megan would tell her about me whenever she asked. Chloe told me about a song Megan had let her listen to before bed one night, and she told me that they both really liked it. I had a feeling that that song was Warmness On The Soul. The guys and girls were coming over to officially welcome Megan back home, they should be here any minute now too.
I watched as the guys all pulled up in their vehicles, and then I watched them walk up to the front door. I didn't feel much like getting up to let them in, they'd let themselves in anyway. Chloe got up and raced to the door though, full of energy. They greeted her with hugs, and Matt had her in his arms when they walked into the living room. Brian was holding on to his little girl, Madison. Kristina was beside him, holding on to his hand.
"Hey Jimmy." Brian greeted me. "How long before Megan gets here?" He asked.
I couldn't help the smile that spread out across my face as I answered. "Soon, very soon." Brian grinned back and then set Madison down. Chloe had laid back down on the floor to draw, and Madison now joined her. They started coloring, giggling and talking quietly. Those two had become like sisters in the short time Chloe had been here.
"God I can't wait for her to get here!!" Kristina exclaimed excitedly. When Megan left, Forever Falling decided not to continue. They didn't want another drummer, and they didn't want to do it without Megan.
"Me too." I said, and as soon as I said it I heard a car door slam outside. Well, that was cool. Maybe I have like, telepathic powers or some shit now. Chloe's head snapped up and she looked at me.
"Is Mommy home?" She asked, and I grinned at her.
"Yeah, she's home."
Chloe got up and darted to the door once again, and this time I darted with her. Megan opened the door and grinned when she saw us standing there, waiting for her. I took the bag she had in her hands and dropped it next to me. I knew she had more in the car, but I'd get those in a minute. I grabbed her and pulled her into the world's biggest hug. Not long after, I felt Chloe tug on me, and I turned my head and looked at her.
"What about me?" She pretended to pout, and I chuckled.
"Sorry, Princess. C'mere." She reached her arms out to me and I picked her up. Megan gave her a hug and smiled at us.
"Miss me much?" Megan raised her eyebrow, and we both nodded. She laughed and then I pulled her into the living room, where the others were still waiting for us. They all got up and swarmed around us like they did at the concert. Kristina picked up Madison, and said,
"So, I get home from my honeymoon to learn that you've disappeared." Megan bit her lip. "You did exactly the opposite of what I was telling you to do, Megz!!" Kristina teased her, and Megan laughed.
"Yeah, well, I still wouldn't count on it if I were you." Megan told her, and Kristina smirked.
"Oh, I don't know Megan. You might be surprised." Kristina's voice was dreamy, and I shot her a warning glance. I didn't want Megan to know that I had planned to propose to her the night she left, I didn't think it would help her feel better about what she did.
