Chapter 30~Getting Back In The Studio

For once, I woke up with Jimmy next to me, he was still asleep. I snuggled up to him, burrowing my face in the crook of his neck. I always knew I missed waking up next to him, but I never realized just how much until now, when I finally got to wake up next to him again. I felt him put an arm around me, and I knew he was awake. I picked up my head to look at him, and he smiled at me.

"Morning beautiful." He greeted me, and I felt my cheeks go red.

"Good morning." I smiled back at him, and an amused looked came into Jimmy's eyes.

"After all this time I still make you blush like crazy." It was more of a statement than it was a question, and I blushed even more.

"You said yourself that we were soul mates, so it shouldn't surprise you any." I muttered, and he chuckled. "Do you still believe that?" As soon as I asked, a look of shock came over his face, like he couldn't believe I'd just asked that.

"Are you kidding me? Of course I do!!" He exclaimed, and I looked down.

"Sorry, I just didn't know if after what happened....." I trailed off as he gently took two fingers and tilted up my chin so that I was looking into his eyes. Then his hand smoothly moved to cup my cheek.

"Megan, I love you and only you. You're what makes my world go round. Every time I kiss you or even touch you, I get this feeling inside of me, and I don't know what it is or how to explain it but I know that I can only get it with you. I would do anything just to see you smile, to make you happy. It's been that way for as long as I've known you, and that's never going to change." Jimmy  opened up, his eyes lit up brighter than they've ever been. I felt tears prick my eyes, but they were the good kind.

"I... I can't even... how do you... just..." I stumbled over words, and Jimmy's mouth twisted into a smirk.  He pressed his lips to mine, in a passionate, deep kiss.

When we pulled away, Jimmy still had his forehead to mine. "Goddamn, I fucking love you." I told him, and he laughed.

"I love you too." He grinned at me and I pecked his lips. Then he went to go check on Chloe, and I stepped into the shower.

After I got out of the shower and was dressed, I went downstairs to find Jimmy in the living room. He smiled at me and motioned for me to come sit next to him. I did, and he put his arm around my shoulders .

"Chloe still asleep?" I asked, and he nodded.

"She's curled up in a ball, hugging her teddy bear tightly." He grinned and shook his head. "So, Kristina called while you were in the shower...." He said, and I raised an eyebrow at him.

"And?"

"And she wants to know if you want to get back in the studio. Y'know, like, bring back Forever Falling."  Jimmy said, searching my eyes.

"Oh gosh, I don't know. I haven't played in what seems like an eternity, who knows if I can even still play." I muttered, and Jimmy smiled.

"Well then I guess we're just gonna have to find out after Chloe gets up." Jimmy said.

"How are we going to do that?" I asked.

"You seem to forget that you have a drum set outside of the studio." He said, and it took me a moment to realize he was talking about the purple drum set.

"You seriously still have it!?"

"Of course, it's where you left it." Suddenly he gasped. "Can you hear that?"

"Hear what?" I asked, furrowing my brow and straining to hear what ever it was he was hearing.

"I think it's calling your name!" He whispered out. "Meeeeeeggggaaannnn!!" He called out in a high pitched voice. "Meeeeeggaaaaannnn!!! Come play meeee, Meegggaann!!"
