16. Meeting the gang...

"Come on Y/n, I'm sure you won't regret it!"

"I don't know Daniel..."

The bell for lunch has just rang and Daniel is begging for you to come with him.

"I'll protect you if anything happens, don't worry!"

"A-AH!" You blush, "That's not what I'm worried about Daniel! You should also really watch the things you say, someone could get the wrong idea!!!"

You squeal on the inside, unable to look at the cute smiling face of Daniel.

You see, you're sill going through that new friends phase with pretty Daniel. And of course, pretty Daniel is just too pretty for you to have a proper eye-to-eye conversation and he's too godamn ignorant to his cute/borderline flirty comments that it kinda pisses you off because how ignorant can he be? Just stop being hot godamn it.

Also, you can feel the jealous glares of a girl behind you (wait, isn't Jay the only behind you?) and literally every other girl in the class.

You kinda miss the other Daniel, you haven't seen him in a long time (all you've done is texted with him for the last couple of days). Maybe you should ask him to hand out later- maybe you'll bring pretty Daniel as well because they both seem to be good friends too.

"O-oh, I'm sorry? I didn't mean it like that but I'm just telling you to not worry about having lunch in the cafeteria... unless you would rather if we both went outside to eat? I don't mind."

"Maybe outside? But if you have to go and buy some lunch I can wait for you,"

"Sure!"

And just as your plans have all just been finished, signed and made, another variable come into play.

"Oh are you guys going outside to eat? Mind if I come?"

A high pitched voice splits through the crowd, to the many relief and annoyance of others. It's Zoe, another pretty girl that's started to make your hands go kinda sweaty.

"I'm on a diet so I've started bringing in my own lunches and the weathers looking really nice..." she pouts, putting a finger to her face, posing cutely, "So can I come with?"

Daniel looks at you but you immediately look back at him, urging him to talk to her and not for you to stumble on your words like the absolute clown you are.

You can't tell if you're disappointed- you don't know whether you should be disappointed or not- but you should've probably assumed that this was going to happen. Rumours about Zoe (that you've even managed to catch wind of even if you barely have any friends) have always said that she's always been a risk-it-all-for-hot-rich-men type. She's also incredibly clingy.

So you're kinda worried for Daniel. For his safety.

"Oh sure? Y/n you're fine with it too? Let's go and find a nice seat then!"
