Chapter Thirteen - It's Not What It looks like

All the emotion-filled Maou and he hugged Emi tightly and kissed her cheeks saying

"I know that you will make me happy with this news" He smiled

She didn't say anything but she smiled plainly at him and released herself from his hug and walked to the bathroom. Maou didn't say anything as he let her process the situation she might be frightened of the thought of having a demon child and he can't blame a hero and also a half-angel.

The next morning

Maou opened his eyes and didn't find Emi next to him. Then he looked at the watch on the wall it's past eight. He jumped from the bed he overslept, and he rushed to the bathroom to wash his face and brush his teeth. He headed to Alas's room to wake her up and get her ready for nursery.

He never slept like this before and he doesn't know is it because he felt secure again and he is surrounded by a family-like when he had his parents around him or because he is exhausted.

He dropped Alas to her nursery and apologized that he is late and he told Alas daycare teacher he couldn't have the chance to give her breakfast so she might get hungry before lunch break.

He sighed and kissed Alas before he heads to his work. He took the bike and rushed to his workplace and thinking why Emi didn't prepare Alas food. It's not like her.

AT ABC Shibuya

Emi was in a meeting with the sales representative and once she finished the meeting she went to the coffee area and she saw Mr. Koto.

"Good Morning Koto" she smiled at him

"Good morning Emilia how are you today" he looked at Emi suspicious.

"I'm fine thanks" she shook her head and smiled.

"Is everything was fine yesterday I may cause you trouble with your husband" He looked into Emi's eyes.

"Oh don't worry you didn't do anything wrong and thinks with my husband is great and nothing to worry about." She grabbed her coffee cup.

Koto looked at Emi as he can feel she is hiding something but he doesn't want to push it so much. Now that she is pregnant he must do all that he could to have Emi's back. He doesn't care if she will have to get rid of Maou's child but he will get her back.

He grabbed her free hand and stopped her before she goes back to her office.

" Wait, Emilia, can I talk to you after work" he looked serious.

"Is something wrong" Emi was worried

"Nothing to worry about but it's an urgent matter," He said with a gloomy voice before he smiles again.

Emi couldn't concentrate on her work as she was thinking about what he wanted from her. It surprised her all of a sudden, she never had that strong relationship with Koto but he looked so serious and lately he was paying too much attention to her.

After she finished her work, she found Koto waiting for her in the reception and then they headed to the nearest cafe before she goes and picks up Alas.

"So Koto what's wrong why did you ask me to meet you after work and you know I have to pick up my daughter." She asked him confused.

"Well I want to help you to get rid of your husband," He said claimed.

"What do you mean by getting rid of my husband, why would I do that" she was shocked.

"He is not the right guy for you and I can see that and this relationship can be toxic for you and your daughter" he looked serious at her.
