Zerksi/Nightmare

Josh stared at the boxing ring, his heart beat racing. The only person as nervous as him or slightly less nervous is Simon, but Josh didn't show his emotions.

Josh heard JJ's name being called, the "Nightmare" but he wasn't listening that much, but watching his best friend and boyfriend walk up to the ring. 

There were cheers all around him, about half for JJ and half for Logan when he was called up before.

"You got this JJ! Keep your hands up!" Josh shouted at JJ who looked at him and smiled, winking at him. Josh couldn't help but blush a tiny bit.

And soon, it had started, the boxing fight. It was very obvious that JJ had the advantage at first, throwing more punches than Logan and hitting hard. Very hard.

Josh kept yelling at JJ, over and over, telling him that he was doing a good job and still telling him to keep his hands up.

Then everything came to a complete stop.

Gunshot.

It was in the top row of the stadium, shooting out multiple times.

Josh looked in horror as JJ slammed to the ground, bleeding profusely. 

"JJ!" Josh shouted, trying to climb in the ring but guards pushed him down. 

But then they were shot down too, but all Josh could focus on was JJ. 

There was yelling and screaming all around him, but Josh blocked them out so he could get to the love of his life and boyfriend, trying and pushing everyone out of the way to get to him.

But it was too late. JJ was staring blankly at the ceiling, almost concentrating.

"No, no!" Josh cried, holding JJ's face as the medic held the wound. Tears dripped down Josh's face as he cried into JJ's neck. "It should have been me." Josh mumbled.

"Josh! Come on!" Josh turned around to see Simon, hurrying him to stand up.

"But he's dead!"

"Josh, Josh!" Josh heard as everything went blurry.

"Josh, wake up!" 

Josh abruptly shot up out of bed, tears staining his face.

JJ.

"Are you ok?" JJ asked as he reached over beside him and turned on the lights.

Josh didn't say anything, but cried instead.

"It's ok, love, I'm right here. I'm right here." JJ hummed as Josh leaned into him, wetting his shirt.

"Y-You died, and I couldn't do anything. Please don't die." Josh said as JJ shushed him and ran his fingers through his hair.

"It's ok, I'm ok, I'm not leaving you any time soon. I'm right here."

Josh didn't really know what he was getting in.

Yes, he knew his friends, Tobi and Vik, were setting him up, but he didn't know it was THIS bad. So this was where he was, being set up on a date.

And then, to make matters worse, being STOOD up.

How convenient.

Josh thought, thinking about all the things he could do instead. He could be studying for his midterm in college that is in 2 weeks. He could be- well actually that's really it. 

Josh didn't really have plans, so this 'date' was actually sounding better than studying.

Then, Josh's phone beeped. It was Tobi, telling Josh that the boy he was going out with was working and he got the time wrong.

Again, how convenient.

Ever since Freya and Josh broke up after high school, Josh didn't really have any plans for relationships. He was really open for anything, liking both guys and girls and all.

Josh walked into his dorm, being met with a blond guy slightly taller than him, kissing a girl in the hallway, blocking his dorm room.

"Um, excuse me." Nothing. "Hello? You're in my way." Josh said and rolled his eyes as the girl was actually eating him alive. "Hey, blondie! Move it!" Josh shouted and the couple pulls away and Josh gets a better look at the guy.

He had very pretty, Josh could say, blue eyes and a blond hair that was in a quiff.

"Can we help you?" The guy asked and Josh pointed to the door like they could read his thoughts and actually think, which they did, moving out of Josh's way.

Josh recognized the boy, though. It was Simon Minter, the boy that actually graduated with him in high school and now goes to the same college as him.

Josh also remembered how in high school he had a crush on Simon, thinking of being those girls that were fawned over him every second of the day.

He always thought of Simon doing many-

A text messaged from Tobi.

Toblerone: He's meeting you at the same place, 7pm tomorrow.

Well I guess I have to get ready for the date again,  Josh thought.

Josh sat at the same table in the little restaurant, ordering his 2nd cup of Dr. pepper.

"Sorry I'm late, again- wait Josh?" Josh turned around to see Simon standing at the end of the table.

"O-oh. Simon! I didn't know that-"

"-you're gay?"

"I'd prefer not to have labels, and I'm not really gay it's more that-" Josh stopped himself as Simon sat down, smiling at him. "Wait, you were making out with that girl earlier, why? If you're here then," Josh stopped himself again.

"Well I'm single, and she was pretty, and I prefer not to have labels either." Simon shrugged, winking at Josh in the process.

Josh blushed a little bit, feeling like a girl in high school.

"How about we start over." Simon said, putting his hands on the table, connecting them.

Josh nodded.

"I'm Simon Minter, I like guys, and I'm looking for a relationship, and I hope you'll be the one for me." Simon smiled, looking Josh in the eyes.

"Well, I'm Josh Bradley, I like guys as well, and I-I am also looking for a relationship." Simon smiled a toothy grin, making Josh loose focus. "A-And I also hope you can be the one for me."

Simon connected their hands after Josh brought his on the table, grinning proudly.

"You and I have a future together Josh, I can feel it."
