"I love you."

For a while, I thought I would never hear those words coming from her mouth. But damn, does that feel good.

This time I kiss her first, she saw it coming but didn't move to get away. Instead she responded with everything in her, all her feelings. We share a strong kiss, charged by every single emotion we ever felt about each other.

After we break apart, I take my time studying her. Her eyes are glassy and look tired from all the tears she spilled, her face show the tears' dry trails, emphasizing the pain she's obviously went thru because of me.

It pains me to see her so defeated but I'm also thrilled that she here with me, finally.

"What happened with Ricky?" She looks away.

"He fled. I send my pack to find him but no luck yet. I wanted to ask other packs' help but it's hard to make them chase an Alpha, Richard's pack isn't that small either, so a war would be difficult without the proper reason and back up." When she talks like this, she seems every bit the alpha that she is.

"A reason huh...? What did you tell them?"

"Basically I told them he attacked me, and you protected me."

"You didn't talk about the mate part?"

"No, because they would ask how is it possible that I mistook someone as my mate, and I don't know." She looks ashamed, but it's not her fault, she'll realize that later. "They would've lost faith in me."

"And I wasn't here to tell you the truth. I'm sorry, Kitten."

"I wanted so badly for you to wake up, so I could tell you how sorry I am and hear your story. Will you tell me? I know you just woke up and you probably don't even want to talk about it, because its none of my business. Those memories are probably painful, and I understand if you need time..."

"Kitten...look at me." When she does as I told her, I smile at her. "Its fine, the faster I tell you everything the quicker this situation is solved. Plus this story has everything to do with you."

She looks confused but just nods and makes herself comfortable by my side in bed. Now that I notice what a huge fucking bed for it to be in a hospital.

"First where are we? This room is way too nice to be a hospital's room."

"Ohhh we are in my room" She states simply as if is no big deal.

"What!"

"My father is your doctor and since I wouldn't leave you alone, we all thought you would be more comfortable in here, so I asked them to bring the equipment and got you settled."

"Asked?" I cock my eyebrow at her questionably.

"Yes, I asked. They said no, so I demanded it."

I laugh, "That's my Kitten." She blushes. "Why are you blushing?"

She shakes her head and hides her face in the crook of my neck.

"Tell me."

"I... It's stupid. I just thought I would never hear you call me that again. I used to hate it, but now it means you are here to annoy me, so I love it."

"Annoy you? How dare you." I tickle her slightly but in a few moments I'm back to a serious stance.

"I want you to understand that until that day I had no memories from before I was about 14 years old. Blaze blocked them to protect me, until I was ready, he has been like a big brother since then, looking out for me."
