An Artemis' Mistake?

He is silently following me to the back of my house, it has an easy access to the forest.

Kat, I...

I know, Lua.

She wants to show him. She knows we arw not supposed to. Should I?

We finally get to a decent place, far enough from any house, so that no one can hear us even if we scream.

"Here is fine."

"How does this work?"

"I teach you and you do it." I say hopefully.

"Can't you show me first?" 

"I don't think so." I look at the ground uncomfortably.

"Why?"

"No one outside of my pack has ever seen Lua and the same goes for Fleur, Rose's wolf."

"Why not?"

"Our color, is different from others since we are the heirs to the Goddess' pack. Our wolves' fur is wanted by rogues and even human hunters, since it's rare. Our rule is that we can only show it after we are 21 and capable of protecting ourselves."

"You are safe here, Kitten. Besides, your birthday is this weekend."

"I don't know..." I'm hesitant. He already know far too much.

"Come on. How am I supposed to learn if I have no idea what to expect?"

Come on, Kat.

I want to show him, but this is an important rule, is for our protection.

I trust him.

I can't help but be stunned, I know Lua likes him, but she doesn't trust that easily, we only known him for a few months.

I'm amazed to admit that I too, trust him, I feel safe here with him, so I decide to agree, hoping I don't regret it.

I nod to let him know I'll do it.

"First it's better to have as little clothes as possible, so I'm gonna go behind that tree and change to this sports bra and shorts, usually, I'd go behind the tree and shift there to have some privacy but, because this is a lesson I'll forfeit these clothes."

"Why forfeit?"

"Because they'll be ripped once I shift."

He laughs and I look curiously at him, "Funny thought a wolf in sport clothes."

I shake my head at his idiotic antics.

"Be right back."

I change into the clothes and set out behind of the tree.

"Ready. Fair warning, to me it will be easier since I have a lot of practice. You must open your mind to your wolf, just like when you let him take over. However, this time, when he steps forward in your mind, you don't step back, you'll stand side by side, you'll become one."

I do as I say and can feel my eyes change to Lua's color, the unearthly blue that is her signature.

"Your wolf has a form in your mind, you can envision him, so you focus on that image, and let it take over you. When your bone began to crack you have to keep him in mind."

I fell the change right away, the ripping of clothes and bone snapping fill the silence for a second and as quick as it started, it's over. It was painless but for him it won't be so smooth.

Looking up at him I see his amazed look.

"Kitten...you're stunning."

If I weren't on wolf form I would have blushed, but Lua goes for waving her tail and trot around him, to show her happiness.
