Jayde's POV

-2 Weeks Later-

I went to Ruby's last week to make sure Olivia knew that the reason I haven't been coming around wasn't because of her. And we got to talking and she now knows all about my mom and we've been hanging out since then

"Maldición." Oscar says as I walk out of the bathroom only to see him sitting at my kitchen table
(Damn.)

*Knock Knock*

I walk over to my front door and open it revealing the mail man with my weekly package

"Just need you to sign right here." He says as he hands me the clipboard and pen

I quickly sign my name before handing him back the clipboard and taking my very large package

"Give it." Oscar says as he takes the box and carries it to the kitchen table while I close the front door and walk over to the silverware drawer and grab the scissors

"Who's Jesus Ramirez?" Oscar asks I walk over to him

"My dad." I say as I cut into the box as Oscar snakes his arm around my waist

I set the scissors down and open the box revealing stacks of new clothes, new shoes, a new MacBook, new makeup, and on top of it all is my weekly check of eight hundred dollars

"Where is your dad anyways?" Oscar asks as I turn around in his arms

"He lives in New York. He's some big shot Lawyer." I state

"I've only met him about a handful of times, but he sends me a package every week with clothes and other stuff and a weekly check." I state

"You have some shitty parents." Oscar says as he tucks a loose strand of hair behind my ear

"I know." I say with a small laugh

My phone begins vibrating in my back pocket

I pull it out and see Jamal is calling me. I quickly press answer and put the phone up to my ear

"We're here. You comin?" He asks

"Yeah, I'll be out in two." I say before hanging up my phone and grabbing my check out of the box

"I gotta go." I say as I slide my phone back in my back pocket and walk over to the front door before tossing my backpack on my back

Oscar steps closer to me before pecking my lips

"I'll see you later." I say with a small smile before opening my front door

I jog down my porch steps before hopping onto the pegs of Ruby's bike

"I'm sorry about the other day. Something came up." I say as I grip his shoulders

"It's fine, Jay." Ruby says as he peddles away from my house

"It's not. But I'll make it up to you." I say with a small smile before pecking the top of his head

"Get outta the wayyyy!" Ruby says as we pass Cesar and Monse
