Jayde's POV

"Med time." Cesar coos as he rounds the couch with a glass of water and my several bottles of meds

"Thank you, nurse Cesar." I say with a small smile as he hands me the glass of water

"Yeah, yeah, yeah." He says with a small laugh as he opens the bottle of pain relievers before handing me one

I pop it in my mouth before taking another sip of water as Cesar opens the bottle of antibiotics before handing me one of those too

I pop it in my mouth before taking another sip of water

Since Cesar has been staying with me we've somehow gotten even closer than we were before

I hand the now empty glass of water back to Cesar before picking up my phone out of my lap and unlocking it revealing the pictures I was looking at of Olivia

"I miss her too." Cesar says from behind me

"You coming back to school today?" Cesar asks as he grabs his backpack out of one of the kitchen chairs

"No. My shoulder hurts." I lie as I stand up from the couch

"Jay, you've gotta leave the house at some point. If you miss to much school you won't be able to graduate." Cesar says

"I said my shoulder hurts!" I shout at him

"You're right I'm sorry." He says before heading for the door and I feel instant regret for yelling at him as he walks out of the door and closes it behind him

I walk into my room before climbing into my bed

*8 1/2 Hours Later*

I reach into the drawer of my nightstand and feel around blindly for some chapstick only to be unable to find it

I lean forward and look inside only to find a picture of Oscar

My breath hitches in my throat as I pick up the picture

"Hey, Jayde, I'm home." I hear Cesar say before I hear the front door close
