Shawn's Pov...

Update on our lives, Justine's bump is definitely noticeable now, but only if she's wearing normal shirts. She still doesn't want anyone at school to know, so she just wears my hoodies. All of the other girls wear hoodies as well, so it's not obvious that she's hiding something.

I've also kind of started my music career, I've been posting covers along with my own music on YouTube and have almost 200k subscribers and around 150k followers on Instagram.

Our senior prom is this weekend, but I don't think we're going. Justine hasn't been feeling well for the past week, so we have a doctors appointment on Saturday to check to make sure everything is okay with the baby.

We are currently in first period and we have a substitute teacher, so we are just watching a movie while he plays on his phone. Every once in awhile I'll look over at Justine and she has her head down and face scrunched like she's in pain. I'm getting really worried about her.

"Are you okay?" I asked as I leaned over. "No, something's wrong." She whispered back in pain. "Do you want to go to the hospital?" She looked like she was about to say something, then her facial expression changed to shock.

"I think my water just broke." She whispered with a hint of fear. "Let's go." I whispered as I grabbed our things and got up. She nodded and got up with the help of her desk. "You two sit down." The sub said, causing everyone to look at us. "I think she has appendicitis, so I'm taking her to the hospital." I told him, then helped her walk out of the classroom as the sub threatened to write our names down and tell our teacher that we left class without permission.

I quickly put all of our books in my locker, then picked her up and carried her out of the school. I ran as fast and carefully as I could to my car. I'm not sure how serious this actually is, but I'm definitely not risking either of their lives to find out on my own.

I put her into the passenger seat and buckle her in, then run to the drivers side and started the car and drove to the hospital as fast as I legally could. The whole time I held her hand with my free one and helped her stay calm.

When we finally got to the hospital I carried her inside and informed the nurse at the desk what was going on. She instantly called to another nurse who came over to us with a wheelchair. I sat her down in it, then followed the nurse to a room.

She got her all set up and started doing tests to see if she was indeed in labor and to check on the baby. While she was getting checked, I filled out the paperwork for her.

After about 30 minutes one of the nurses informed us that Justine was in labor and already 6 centimeters dilated. Baby boy isn't in distress or anything so we are just waiting until Justine is dilated enough to give birth.

Good thing we already bought the car seat and have it in the car. It's not set up yet, but he's also early, so we'll most likely not be taking him home when Justine gets discharged in a day or two.

After four hours our baby boy is officially here. He cried instantly when he was born, which is a good thing, but they still took him to the NICU after about ten minutes to run some tests and to monitor him.

I'm glad they let Justine hold him before they took him. It seemed to help her worry less about what could be wrong with him from being born six weeks early. She's resting now, while we wait for a nurse or doctor to come in and talk to us about our baby's health.

"How are you feeling?" I asked as I laid my head on the bed and looked up at her. "Tired." She replied as she started to play with my hair. "Take a nap, I'll wake you if anyone comes in." "Okay." She gave me a sleepy smile, then got comfortable and closed her eyes.
