One week in the nicu later and we are finally all home. Today is also Justine's first day back at school. My mom agreed to watch Wesson today for us, so we could both go to school.

Only two more weeks until we graduate! Then I'm off on my first tour. I will be gone for less than a month. I wish I could bring Justine and Wesson with me, but Wesson is just too small and we don't want to risk his health.

"Bye Wessy, I'll see you when I get home." I whispered to the sleeping baby on our kitchen table. He's grown so much since he was born. He finally fits in newborn clothes and diapers.

I leaned over and kissed his cheek and held his little hand

I leaned over and kissed his cheek and held his little hand. "Look at my sweet little grand baby." My mom said as she walked into the kitchen with a bag of food. "Mom, you need to stop bringing us food." I chuckled as I walked over to her to see what she had brought.

"Hush, you guys are new parents, the least I could do is premake you some meals." She said as she put the containers of food into our fridge. "You're babysitting him for us, that's enough." She just laughed at me. "I love you mom." I hugged her. "I love you too, now go to school." "I'm waiting for Justine."

"I'm ready." Justine said as she walked into the kitchen and over to the baby. "You look cute." I smiled at her. "Thank you." She smiled. Since she really didn't get a bump, her body went back to how it used to be within a few days of having Wesson. So she's wearing a pair of skinny jeans and a crop top that has a picture of Ross and Rachel from Friends on it.

"How are you feeling sweetie?" My mom asked her. "Good, when he gets hungry, his milk is in the freezer, they're labeled so use the oldest ones first. Thank you so much for watching him." "Got it. You're so welcome. Have a great day."

We both said one last goodbye to Wesson and my mom, then walked out of the house and got into my car. "Did you eat?" I asked her. "Yeah, I had a smoothie and some toast when I fed Wess. Did you?" "No, I forgot." "Go get something, before we get to school, I'll pay." She offered.

"Fine." I chuckled as I turned into the McDonald's drive thru. "Are you excited to be going back to school?" I joked. "No, I miss our baby." She pouted.

I chuckled then kissed her lips. "You're so cute." "Thank you." She smiled. "Welcome to McDonald's what can I get you?" A guy's voice came out of the speaker.

"Can I get a hot cakes platter and orange juice?" "Is that all?" "Yes." "That'll be $5.87 at the first window." I drove around the building and right as I stopped in front of the window, Justine handed me her card.

"Oh hey you're that Shawn Mendes guy from YouTube." The guy said as I handed him the card. "Yup." I'm not used to people recognizing me for my singing yet, so I'm really awkward whenever someone mentions it.

"How old are you? My coworker mentioned that you have a newborn." "I'm 17..." "Oh, really? I thought you were at least 20." "Nope, still a senior in high school." "I should probably let you go then, have a nice day." He said, handing the card back to me.

"You too." I handed the card to Justine, then pulled up to the next window to get my food.

Justine's Pov...

"Are you sure the baby was her's? Just look at her, there's no way she had a baby a week ago." I heard a girl whisper to her friend while they sneakily looked at me.

People have been doing it all day. No one's asked so I just pretend that I didn't hear them. "Hey can you help me with question 8? I can't figure it out." Matty asked, leaning over so I could hear him.

I nodded then explained the question until he was able to figure it out and got the correct answer. "Thank you." "You're welcome." I smiled at him, then went back to working of all of my missing assignments that I didn't finish when I was home for the past week.

"So why weren't you at school for the past week?" He whispered to me. "I was sick." I lied. "Sick or are the rumors true?" "I feel like having a baby should count as being sick." I whispered back with a quiet laugh.

"How? You're too skinny to of just had a baby, my mom just had a baby and it took her two months to get back to fitting in her clothes." "I don't know, I guess since I didn't really get a bump and he was premature that my stomach just went back to how it used to be." I shrugged.

"Wow that's lucky." I just nodded then went back to working on my assignments. For the rest of the class, we just talked and I did my work and helped him with his.

After a long day of school, I'm so ready to get home and cuddle with my baby. I'm just waiting on Shawn to take me home. School got out almost fifteen minutes ago and I still haven't seen him, maybe he's talking with a teacher. I sent him a quick text, then walked back towards the school to see if I could find him.

"Hey, why are you still here?" Matty asked as he walked out of the school. "Shawn's drove us here and he hasn't shown up yet, have you seen him?" I asked. "Uh, I think he got in trouble in sixth period and is in Detention."

"Great, now I'm stuck here for another hour." "I could give you a ride." He offered as he adjust his backpack strap on his shoulder. "Are you sure?" "Yeah, come on." "Okay."

I sent Shawn a text, informing him, that Matty was taking me home and that I'll see him when He gets home. "So what's your baby's name?" Matty asked as he pulled out of the parking spot and drove away from the school. "Wesson or Wess for short, Shawn chose it."

"Like Weston, just with another 's' and not a 't'?" "Exactly." "Is he still in the hospital?" "No, he came home yesterday morning." "Oh that's good."

"Is he an easy baby?" "Yeah, really easy. He's the perfect baby." "Cool." "Yup..." We've never really talked before, so it's pretty awkward.

When we pulled up to the house, Shawn's mom was standing outside with Wesson in her arms. "Is that him?" Matty asked as he stopped the car. "Yeah." "He's so small." "He was even smaller when he was born." "That's crazy, well I need to go, see you at school tomorrow?" "Yeah, bye Matty. Have a great night." I politely smiled then got out of the car and walked over to Karen.

"Hey sweetie, where's Shawn?" She asked as she handed Wesson to me. "I think Detention, I haven't heard from him yet." "That boy." She shook her head with a laugh.

"Are you good being alone until he gets home or do you want me to stay?" "I'll be okay. Thanks again for watching him." "Anytime." She smiled and gave me a hug.

"I have to go on a business trip tomorrow, so Manny could watch him if you guys don't have anyone else to watch him." "Okay, I'll let him know tonight if I can't get anyone else." "Okay, tell Shawn to call me when he gets home." "Will do, bye." "Bye."

I waited until she drove away, then went inside and started planning dinner, so it'll be ready when Shawn gets home. He should be done with detention soon, so I have my phone next to me on the counter, waiting for him to text or call.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He never texted or called. It's almost 11 pm and he's still not home. Where could he be? It's not like him to not text or call if he's going to be late or not coming home. I'm worried, but there is a possibility his phone died and he hasn't been able to charge it.
If he doesn't show up at school, I'll call the police and file a missing persons report.
"Goodnight Wessy." I whispered to the sleeping baby in the bassinet next to me. I plugged my phone in, then grabbed Shawn's pillow and hugged it until I fell asleep.
