You learn about human friendship

Recess was always one of your favorite times at the 'skool' you enrolled in. Watching humans interact was always interesting, and human children were rather...chaotic. You also liked passing time with Dib and Gaz, definitely the most fascinating humans you had encountered.

You liked how Dib would ramble on to you about Earth's paranormal phenomena and how Gaz was completely absorbed in her 'video game' (you still didn't understand well what that was). It seemed like the humans' interests drove them to an unhindered display of devotion, and you couldn't help but find that fact about them great.

"Can you believe he tried to train cyber squirrels to eat my ankles? I mean, most of Zim's plans are totally deranged, but that one reaaaally takes the cake." He commented, chewing on a chocolate bar.

You laughed, knowing that Zim would totally use such strategies. "I mean, is it as bad as that time when he tried to genetically modify butterflies to suck on everyone's 'life force'?"

"Oh yeah, I had forgotten about that. You know, after I caught him," Dib narrated with amusement. "He tried to escape in his voot disguised as a pig, but he forgot he still had some butterflies inside so they attacked him and he lost control of the ship and crashed into a tree! Guess what happened next-"

"Well, duh, he totally exploded!" You concluded, a grin on your face.

"Not only he exploded but the butterflies caught on fire without dying and kept attacking him afterwards!"

You couldn't help but snicker as well, picturing the whole ordeal in your mind.

A squeaky voice interrupted your childish laughter.

"Y/n!! D you wanna play ball with us?!" A small girl yelled at you from the backyard.

"Hi Karen! Sorry, maybe tomorrow!" You replied, watching the other girl shrug and hop away.

Dib gave you a quizzical look before trying to continue. "Anyways-"

"Y/N!" Some other kid called out to you. "There's a DOG on the other side of the playground! Wanna come and SEE?!" The boy screamed, overly excited.

"Thanks Joe, but I've seen those already!" You answered once more.

Dib raised his hand, still intending to go back to your conversation.

"Y/N!!! Y/n! Y/N! y/n!" Yet another girl with an annoyingly high-pitched voice called you over.

Even you were weirded out with how loud she was being. "Uh... yes Melissa?" You said with a smile.

"Wanna go to my house later?" She asked more normally.

"Em..sure, I'll ask my parents." Was your only response before the girl squealed in happiness.

Dib blinked a couple of times. "What was all of that?" He inquired.

"Mmm? Just some of my friends." You smiled.

"But...how? You haven't been in this school that long? Most of the kids in my class don't even remember my name." He pointed.

You shrugged, not understanding his concern. "I dunno. I just approach people and talk to them!" You announced happily.

You then heard a chuckle from Gaz, which got her an annoyed look from her brother. "Yeah Dib, why don't YOU try to talk to other kids?" She teased.
