Jason got out of the car outside the police department where he worked, he knew he would receive a mouthful of insults from his boss a.k.a Chief David Hunter and also Sarah. He couldn't blame them, he had left with no trace or knowledge of where he went to, all because of a woman you can't get out of your head, a voice whispered in his head. He sighed before taking a deep breath and going there with his head up high.

"Boss!!!" he heard Sarah's voice before he saw her, she came up to him wearing a blue T-shirt with a picture of a dog on it with dark wash jeans and black boots, her blonde hair was pulled back in a ponytail revealing her baby blue eyes. She wore a frightened yet relieved look on her face

"Where the hell have you been?" she spat out angrily

"The whole department has been in chaos looking for you for the past two days and the chief is mad"

"It's okay" he replied, his voice surprisingly clear "I just went out to check on the case of that mafia queen and it was urgent, I'll explain it to Hunter, he'll understand...I hope". She raised up a carved brow

"I believe where ever you went to must have messed up your brain boss man, do you even know who you're talking about?"

"Of course, I do" he replied very unsure if he was actually in his right mind. She frowned slightly

"Well the chief wants you in his office immediately"

"Wait, now?!" he asked surprised

"Of course, now" she hissed as her blue eyes narrowed "you've been gone for two days with no trace and you weren't answering your calls, the boss needs answers and he wants them now" she finished as she walked of. He sighed and walked to the door in the right hallway labelled The Chief of the Police Department he could do this, he was brave and he wouldn't cringe at the face of fear.

"You insolent buffoon!!" cringe "idiot with no morals!!" cringe "no form of simple common sense in your damned brain!!" now that was just mean, Chief David Hunter had been shouting insults at him the moment he walked in through the door and he had been cringing at each one of them, so much for being brave. Chief Hunter's black hair flew in different directions like he had been running his hair through it and his green eyes blazed in anger. Unlike most chiefs in police departments, Hunter was well fit with his biceps bulging out of his fitted black shirt, Jason suspected that he used steroids, veins popped out of his head as he continued shouting insults at him that he was sure the whole department could hear. After the chief had finished his raging insults, he sat on his chair and faced him

"Now that you've shown how completely insufficient you are, would you mind telling me where the hell you were and what the fuck was so important that you couldn't answer your damn phone", Jason's palm felt sweaty, he hadn't planned for this part, what would he say? what would he do? "I'm waiting" Hunters angry voice ran through his thoughts

"Someone tipped me on some information concerning the mafia queen" he had gotten Hunters attention that was for sure as Hunter glued his eyes on him with anticipation

"What information?" he asked anxiously

"Some drug deal she was planning on the borders of Canada"

"Yes!!!" Hunter exclaimed as he shot out of his chair "this is the kind of information I was hoping for, I take back all my words about you, you're smart, brave, wonderful. Come on man, tell me, what did you find out?" could he do it, could he betray the woman he was starting to have feelings for, the choice was in his hands now, would he betray her and talk receiving more praises from a man he hadn't received a single compliment from or would he lie and continue to keep her trust in his heart. He sighed

"Absolutely nothing, it was a false information" he finally replied

"WHAT?!!!"
