Chapter 18: Ashley

Okay so I have decided how I want to write what I want to write, thanks to my annoyingly awesome friends at lunch xD anyway, Here you go, I hope you enjoy.

One more thing before I forget. I think for this story, I will try to update more oftern, but the chapters will be shorter. What do you guys think?

Ashley- 

I wake up to the sun shining through the window next to my bunk. I look across the cabin to see Percy still asleep, arm hanging off his bunk, next to his alarm clock. It reads 10:00 am. Crap we slept in. I get up and walk across the cabin floor. 

"PERCY!!!!" I yell as I attempt to pull him out of bed. Gods he's really heavy. What does he eat? 

He rubs his eyes and sits up. "Stop pulling on my arm, it's going to fall off!" He complains. "Percy it's ten. We're late!" I almost scream. He curses under his breath, and gets ready. I do the same. We run to the training arena, where we were supposed to be ten minutes ago, to find random campers just kinda joking around. 

"Wait... What?" Percy says confused.

"Regular activities were cancelled for today. Remember? Chiron told us last night, and reminded us this morning, which you would have known if you had actually shown up to breakfast. I noticed an absence of Cabin 3 this morning." I turn around to see Karina, a small smile playing on her lips. "I picked this up for you. I figured you would be hungry." She hands me an apple, which I happily take. 

"What about me?" Percy asks.

"Annabeth probably picked something uo for you." She replies.

"That or she'll just yell at me for sleeping in again." He groans and runs off, probably to find Annabeth. I turn back to Karina. "So, what do you say about a relaxing day at the beach?" I ask her. "Meet you there in ten?" She answers. I nod and we go back to our cabins to change. 

An hour later, we sitting on the beach, relaxing, and attempting to tan.  "So do you like it here?" She asks me. "Like it? I love it! This place is amazing!" I reply enthusiastically.

"You're so lucky. You're friends with the most popular campers here, the guy everyone thinks is amazing is your brother, you're the most powerful demigod chiron has seen in like, forever, and you already have someone who's practically in love with you." She says.

"Yeah right. No one is in love with me." 

"Yeah, it's-" She gets cut off. "Ashley!" I hear a familiar voice behing me. I turn around to see Nico running up to us. "We were going to train today. I looked everywhere for you. Someone told me they saw you heading towards the beach." 

"Oh crap I forgot! Gods I am being so forgetful today!" I turn to Karina who is putting her stuff away. "I'm so so so sorry!" I say. "I'll come back right after I promise."

She looks up at me. "No, you'll probably forget anyways." 

"What are you talking about?"

"Well it just seems like lately, you've been forgetting about me a lot. We never hang out. You're always off hanging out with your new friends. I thought it would be fun, the two of us hanging out all summer at Camp Half-Blood, but I never see you." She stands up and leaves, bumping my shoulder as she passes me. 

"Karina, Wait!" I call after her. She keeps walking. And I sigh. I put my shirt and shorts back on and turn back to Nico. 

"Sorry." I say. He just nods and we walk to the training arena. He doesn't say anything, or ask any questions. Just silence. Not awkward silence or anything. It was actually a comforting silence.

Yes, I am aware that sucked. And by the way, if there are any spelling mistakes in this, i am sorry, I sprained my arist a while back and its bothering me again so its really hard to type, and actually, rn it hurts A LOT so i am typing with one hand so please excuse me. I just had an idea and wanted to write. ALSO I AM SORRY ABOUT KARINA FORGIVE ME IT WILL ALL BE OKAY I PROMISE DONT KILL ME (hides)
