It was commonly misperceived by humans that the other person would one, always keep their promises, and two, a being, wild enough, could not stoop down to a level lower than what was socially acceptable in order to achieve what they wholly desired.

He was going to show everyone how things were done. He would wipe away the enemies, whatever it took, and when he was done with the lycans, he'd rule the humans - one by one, he'd rid the world of anything but his kind and the ones who'd serve him. He would be the mightiest; a ruler whose likes the miscreants of Earth would have never seen before.

The snapping of bones, followed by growls and snarls, brought Celeste and Elliot out of their frozen state. Among the tables, where the guards had been seated, now growled four wolves. Their families cowering away as the wolves snarled. Kids had begun crying.

"What is happening?" Xavier bellowed as the other guards surrounded the wolves while the patrollers took the women and children to the safer side of the room next to the front door.

Celeste had seen such an event happening in the past.

When they had still been rogues, Ben had been successful in turning ten of their wolves reprobate. She could now notice the same transpiring in front of her very eyes. The signs were all the same.

Their hackles stood and eyes turning the colour of blood, saliva drooled down the mouths of these poor victims - the wolves were now destined to die because if that didn't happen, they'd either kill everyone else in the vicinity or worse - turn them as well.

It was up to the remaining members to prevent them from taking someone else's life.

"They're turning feral," Celeste shouted to the frenzied crowd, warning everyone to step back.
Blayne, who had also dealt with such a situation, went forward directing the sentinels.

"As fast as you can, go and bring shackles from the dungeons," he commandeered the half-vampires who were on it abruptly. At the same time, a brown feral dug his fangs into the nearest guard who was trying to shelter the others. The guard didn't even get a chance to scream as the wolf tore him apart with his honed teeth.

Complete disorder and confusion ensued with a renewed vigour. Blayne looked terrified for a moment. Looking at her father like this, Celeste took charge.

"You," she called Dominic who, to her surprise, had appeared out of thin air, looking sober as ever. Celeste pushed all the other thoughts away.

"Get your sentinels to form a perimeter around the ferals. They should not let loose - " another feral attacked two guards this time. Panicked, some of the guards stepped away from the reprobate wolves, breaking the line. Shouts and cries of agony went up.

"What are you waiting for?" Xavier stepped towards the chaos, addressing the guards, "take place, protect the women and children."

Together, three guards shifted, fending off the fallen comrades.

"No!" Celeste was horrified, "don't shift!" She sprinted in their direction, Elliot on her heels. Shifting would only elicit more outrage. Perturbed as they were with this new development in their bodies, the reprobate wolves would only get more anxious and lash out even more in turn.

However, she felt restricted by the dress she had donned to do anything. Beautiful as it was, it didn't give her any room for movement, and as of then, her people mattered more than the apparel.
