"Heyy, whazzup?" I heard Nick ask, sitting down next to me on the bench.

I looked up at him, tears still in my eyes after hours of crying.

"What happened?" He asked, looking concerned.

I wiped away the last tear I cried and looked up at him.

"It's nothing I just... Got my hopes up a bit..." I responded, letting out a sigh.

"Oh, was it, er, John?' He asked.

I let tears run to my eyes when i heard his name. I buried my head in my hands.

I wiped away the tears that were continuously streaming down my face and looked up at his dark brown eyes that had light brown streaks in the middle.

*how could've I not noticed how amazing they looked?* I wondered.

"J-John asked me to m-meet him at the dairy to s-s-study, and when I came, I saw him m-making out with Anna." I stumbled on my words as they came out, the image of them two kissing was imprinted on my mind.

"Oh, I'm so sorry. Anna broke up with me last night. She said she wanted John back." Nick responded, flicking his straight brown hair (he must have straightened it since the party) from over his eyes.

"I just, thought John and I had something, ya know?" I asked.

He looked down at me as the corner of his mouth cracked up into a sort-of smile.

"You don't need him anyway." He started.

"You're better than him. You will find someone new. I bet you will."

"But... I've been crushing on him since kindergarten."

I can't believe I just told him that!

His smile turned into a frown.

"You fell pretty hard didn't ya?" He asked.

Before I could respond, I felt the tears come back. I let my head swoop down and face the ground.

I felt Nick wrap his arms around me and lift me into his chest.

*wait, what is happening?*

I let the tears fall down my face and onto his T-shirt.

"Sorry for getting your shirt wet..." I finally said after a long pause.

"It's fine, lets go to my house and get you cleaned up." He responded.

"Huh? Cleaned up?" I asked.

He slid his finger under my eye, wiping off all the mascara and eye liner that had run and showed it to me.

"Oh..." I replied, laughing a bit.

He stood up, still holding me tight and walked us to his car.

What? Just because he went out with Anna, doesn't mean he's evil too!

He was in chapter 5 with Anna.

But I haven't uploaded a new chapter in ages so I wanted to make it up to you!
