"The secret to a good morning is to watch the sunrise with an open heart."
The night they shared was one of magic rush, a night to push and scream and then, they found the so craved relief.
At some point of the dawn, Fanny woke up because one hand was carefully resting on her back. She never slept very deeply, but how was Catherine supposed to know that?
She still vividly remembered how in their time together, they never shared a bed for anything other than sex.
Fanny had accepted that sleeping together in a bed was a limit that Catherine did not want to cross. They shared their lives, had passionate sex, but this last bastion was never defeated, Catherine defended the idea of sleeping in separate rooms, because she believed ironically, that this would keep the facade of the mysterious woman she had create over the years, who few or practically no one really knew what was going on in her private life, of course this hurted Fanny but she understood Catherine, she understood her need for this control over a life so irritatingly public.
She briefly toyed with the idea of going to sleep, but then she finally turned and looked at Catherine.
"I have a light sleep"
Catherine's smile abruptly vanished and she withdrew her hand. - "And I should have known that, right? After all those years, I should have known. I am sorry."
"Cath ..."
"No, I'm really sorry. I do not want to hurt you, Fanny. I do not think I've ever been so happy with someone but you ... please forgive me for my frail love."
These words came so unexpectedly that Fanny's fury, which had already shrunk considerably, completely vanished.
Touched, she raised a hand and stroked through Catherine's hair. - "Oh, Cath ..." - She murmured.
Catherine took her hand and squeezed it. - "Are you forgiving me?"
"How could I not?"
Catherine smiled again, relieved this time. - "Let me buy some time to prove me to you."
Fanny lifted her interwoven fingers and pressed a kiss on Catherine's back of the hand. - "This may sounds crazy, but I know we will make through cause we never said goodbye, not truly."
Catherine watched the sunlight danced across Fanny's face, and she have never been this swept away, all her thoughts just seemed to settle on the breeze under Fanny's tender gaze, the only thing she could hear was her beating heart for that woman seeing through her soul.
Right here, right now, it was a time to speed up truth.
She found herself wrapped up in Fanny's arms all over again, hoping for the world to faded away.
Fanny grinned suddenly. - "I have to admit, I had always imagined our first night together" - She said teasingly. - "tho, technically it is no longer night, but you get my point."
Catherine reached out a finger and ran it over Fanny's lips without letting go of her hand. - "How did you imagine it would be?" - She asked and her voice also fell into a light, alluring tone.
"Well ..." - Fanny moved closer to Catherine, stroked her mouth over Catherine's cheek to her ear and caressed the sensitive shell - "... for one thing, I was sure that I could only mislead you into this immoral act by seducing you according to all the rules of such art, and then loving you to the point of unconsciousness. Said so, in my imagination, your condition was much more deranged than you are now, my love. Not to mention naked. This tiny sheet was not in my original plan ..." - and she rode over the delicate fabric that veiled Catherine's shapes ... - "is almost an insult to your beauty."
