We reached home in no time. I thanked god for that. Since Rose was in her music world and the awkward silence was killing me. Finally Redan stopped the music and Rose came to the real world of ours.

This time Redan took the benifit and left us with the bags as soon as we parked. He ran like he need to go to pee. Stupid fellow. Me and Rose took all the bags inside and spread ourshelves on the sofa.

We were so tired.

Water! Water! Mom water !Rose shouted.

Comming,  aunty replied. And stop shouting like you are in some desert and running out of the last drop of water in your body.

I chuckled and got up from the sofa and proceed to the kitchen in order to get some water.

I will get it aunty.

Okay honey. thanks.  Aunty replied from where she was.

I entered the kitchen and there he was again. Redan. He was having a bottle in his hand and when he saw me his gaze settled to me. I avoided the gaze and went straight to the refrigerator. There was no bottle left. He hurriedly gulped the entire bottle of water and gave a winning smirk.

I on the other hand was still by his act for few seconds and could not think of anything. But then I had an idea. I opened the soda bottle pour in two glasses added salt, sugar, lemon and and few cubes of ice. It sounds like I am hosting some cookery show and I am making some quick drink. This is my mom's recipe. He was still standing and watching me doing things. Well it was my time to reply with an devil smirk. And I did it with a wide one.

I love this Tina. Thank you. Rose said.

I and Rose was enjoying the cool drink, while Redan was watching us with his jaw wide open. I can see his mouth watering.

This is Sunday! Family day!!

Uncle came in the evening. We all sat on the sofa and watched TV. Few comedy shows that this family watch every week. All of us holding full bowl of pop corn.

you both should go to bed early.  Tomorrow you need to  go to collage. will have dinner soon. Uncle stated watching at both at me and Redan.

No way dad. I am not sleepy. And its our family day.

Son! you better agree or you will be grounded.

My eyes go wide like foodball. I mean what? These grown kids get punished like kids.

Uncle didn't seem this much strict. But he is! You better dont break any rules. Or be ready to be grounded since uncle has declared me as a member of the family. I thought myself.

Dinner is ready! Aunty announced.

The tasty yummy smell of food aroused my food senses. Suddednly my stomac stared grumbling. And I got up from where I was sitting to help aunty set the table so I can grab food as soon as possible.

Dad, can I stay a little late. I dont have anything important tomorrow. Please dad. I heard Rose requested to uncle.

At the dinner table we ate in silence. As I am new and I dont have anything to discuss. Ridan was not happy as he didnt get to watch tv late. Rose plugged her earphone listening music. Aunty tried some lame jokes to lighten everyone. But didn't work.

I saw aunty eyed uncle secretely to do something to handle the situation.

How about ice ..ice cream after dinner. I mean if its okay for everyone. I said. I was fumbling. I kept eating avoiding uncle's eye contact.

Brilliant idea. We can go to the nearest ice cream parlour. Uncle said. But will come back soon. Alright.

Everyone smiled at this. Ofcoure except Rose.

Redan snapped his finger in front of Rose to get her attention  from music and food.

Rose startled and suddenly ask, "did I miss something ?"

And we all laughed.

Soon after dinner we all rush to the parlour.

Uncle and aunty ordered Strawberry flevour.

Rose was confused as to which flavour to take since she liked many of them. So she ordered tutty fruty with Strawberry topped with choco chips. Weird. Even the store keeper gage her a strange look to which she ofcourse didn't notice. And engaged herself with her ice cream.

I and Redan ordered dark chocolate with chocolate syrup. Yumm. How come this chilly flake(I mean Redan) like chocolate?

Redan took out his phone and ask everyone to pose for a photo. And we all made crazy faces showing our ice cream. He captured few photographs and then we returned home.

We moved to our respective rooms and I changed into a comfortable pajama and went to bed.

I heard a knock on my door and aunty came in.

Yes aunty. I asked wonder if aunty need anything.

No, just came to wish you goodnight and thanks for giving the idea for ice cream. Aunty said.

I smiled.

Tomorrow is a big day for you. Be good. Okay.

Yes aunty.

She gave me a kiss on my forehead. And turn to leave.

I lay down on

my bed and started thinking about my mom who does the same everynight. I closed my eyes and smiled. I dont know when I was asleep.
