Bex sighed as she fell onto the mattress face first, making the letter in her jacket crunch. Bex closed her eyes and rolled over despite her muscles not wanting to move.
She pulled the wrinkled paper out of her jacket and read with tired eyes
"A ball?" She questioned sitting up quickly "I need to call Caroline."
Caroline Forbes was a bubbly little blonde who was very nitpicky and a little controlling but she always brought a smile to Bex's face
Caroline always kept in touch with her telling her the goings on in the small town and what's up with Elena and Jeremy
Bex fumbled for her phone before dialing Caroline's number
She answered on the third ring "What's up, Super Hero?" She asked
"There's a ball tomorrow, Care-Bear." Bex answered
"Ah, yes, the Mikaelson Ball." Caroline said
"Mikaelson? As in, Klaus Mikaelson?" Bex asked
Caroline didn't say anything for a moment but in that moment Bex knew what she wasn't saying "Oh my god, are you going to the ball with him?" She exclaimed loudly
"He wouldn't leave me alone unless I did!" Caroline defended
"No, Care, it's fine." Bex sighed "But, I need your help."
Caroline's ears perked up and she smiled
"With?" She asked sing songy
"A dress, make up, hair, for the ball." Bex said nonchalantly Caroline let put a ridiculously loud squeal of excitement
"There goes my eardrum." Bex muttered wincing
"Oh my god! Be at my house at five!" Caroline smiled
"But it starts at eight." Bex said confused
"I know but I need to be able to work my magic." Caroline said before making a kissy noise and hanging up
Bex smiled and pulled off her shoes and glasses and clothes leaving her in only her under ware and bra revealimg all the small scars that littered her body and she fell onto her bed letting exhaustion take over her body as she lied on top of the rough blankets》× 》× 》× 》
Bex sighed as she pulled herself off the bed with a groan as she checked the clock 11:47, her shoulders ached and her head hurt a little, knowing that eventually her headache would turn into a full blown migraine she downed a few Aspirin and stared at her self in the mirror.
She looked a wreck, her black hair--which was her pride and joy, because it was long, thich, dark, and hit the middle of her back and a had a single stripe of shock white hair--was tangled and greasy, her face had makeup streaming down it from the hysterical sobbing she did in her sleep
She absentmindely ran her hand across a wide and long scar that ran from her left shoulder to the lower right part of her stomach
It was a scar she earned from the car crash her parents died in, it was caused by the seat belt which was locked into place so as the car hurtled off the bridge the seat belt had dug into her skin, she had only been in a bikini top, so the pain was ten times worse then it would of been if she was wearing a shirt
No one knew how Bex, not even Bex knew how she,had gotten out of the car, all they know is that her seat belt had broken and the front windshield had been smashed and she ended up on the opposite bank shore with scars that would never go away.
Bex sighed shaking the memory out of her head as she turned on the shower unclipping her bra and dropping it to the ground and slipping out of her under ware she stepped into the hot water and let it hit her body
She slowly began to shampoo her hair and massaging it towards her scalp
A half an hour later she stepped out of the water with a towel wrapped around her body as she opened the door steam billowed out she turned towards her bed and let out a scream as she saw a man sitting on her bed, he stood up and disappeared in a flash leaving the door swinging open
Terrified she slumped against the wall with water dripping from her hair and her chest heaving and her eyes wide as she stared at the swinging doorBex was sitting at the bar with a shot of Tequila in front of her as she kept replaying the scene from earlier even though it was over an hour ago her heart was still slamming against her rib cage and her breathing was still slightly erratic
Rebekah was watching her from a far a look of intrigue on her face, Matt Donovan saw her face and put his foot down
"Dont go there." He had snapped at her before walking away
But of course she was totally unfazed by Matt and walked over to her a little while after Bex's heart had slightly calmed down
"I'm Rebekah Mikaelson." The blonde smiled holding out her hand
Bex looked up shocked
"Bex Gilbert, Vampire?" She asked adding the latter part quietly
Rebekah choked on her drink in shock and looked at the Oldest Gilbert with wide eyes
Bex downed her shot and smiled "Caroline tells me everything." But her smile faltered "Except the fact that my Aunt is dead." She mumbled darkly as she gestured for two more shots
"Ah, yes." Rebekah sighed hating her brother a little more
Than usual
"So is Klaus your brother?" Bex asked sincerely wanting to know
Rebekah frowned "Unfortunately.." She sighed
"That must suck." Bex said
Rebekah was slightly shocked at the girls words "It does." She said
The dark haired girl looked at her for a second "I like your hair, it's pretty." She smiled "And fact that it doesn't have any fly aways makes me jealous."
Bex pulled out her phone and opened it to new contacts and slid it towards Rebekah
"Wanna put your number in my phone so you can do mine for the ball?" She asked her
"Only if you do my make up." Rebekah smiled handing Bex her phone
"Deal."
