Never meant to be?

Their first date

After 5 weeks in recovery, Roy and Kaldur were up and ready for action. Since Kaldur has been training or on mission for about 2 weeks straight, Roy wanted to do something nice for him. Kaldur has been busy for weeks, so it was a surprise to see Roy waiting for him at the bio ship in his civilians and shades.

"Roy, this is a surprise." Kaldur said as he gave Roy a quick hug.

"I haven't seen you since the hospital. I just wanted to surprise you. What are you doing Friday night?" Roy asked.

"If Batman gives me the night off then nothing. Why do you ask?" Kaldur asked.

"How about dinner? You and me. I'll come pick you up. What do you say?" Roy asked lightly nervous.

Kaldur was actually shocked. They haven't been on a date yet. Actually, Kaldur has never been on a date before.

"Um. Roy, you should know that I have never been on a date before." Kaldur said with a nervous chuckle and the tiniest blush.

"Please. It'll be fun. Get away from the job and the kids for a couple of hours. Don't make me beg." Roy said smoothly.

"Very well. Pick me up around 7 o'clock. I have to go. We need to leave." Kaldur said as he looked to his team making their way to the bioship.

"Oh yeah. Sure. I'll see you Friday." Roy said as he pecked Kaldur's cheek and quickly left.

Kaldur's head turned around with a small look of surprise then smiled lightly.

"Yo Kal. What got you so excited?" Wally asked.

"I have a date." He answered simply as he walked to the ship.

On Friday, Kaldur was dress in nice, rip free black jeans, a black t-shirt with a light jacket. Roy said to wear something casual yet nice. Megan and Artemis helped him pick it out. As usual he wore his uniform under his clothes. You can take the boy out of the military but you can't take the military out of the boy. He kept his weapons in his pocket since they are small enough. Roy came at exactly 7 o'clock. He was wearing some nice jeans, a short sleeve red shirt with some black shoes. Roy was in shock to Kaldur dressed like that.

"Oh my god." Roy said as he walked to Kaldur.

Kaldur looked so hot to Roy.

"You do not like what I am we-" Kaldur started to ask but Roy interrupted with a kiss.

Roy wrapped his arms around Kaldur possessively. Kaldur placed a hand on Roy's cheek in shock. When they parted Roy placed his head in Kaldur's neck and started to kiss it repeatedly.

"I am guessing you like my outfit then." Kaldur said with a chuckle.

"Mine, mine, mine." Roy repeated with each kiss.

All Kaldur could do was laugh.

"I belong to no one." Kaldur said as a matter of fact.

"You look so hot. Damn. Turn around for me. I don't think I've ever seen you without your uniform or you blue hoodie you wear around my place." Roy said in a flirtatious tone.

Kaldur slowly turned around. Roy lightly slapped Kaldur ass playfully. Kaldur lightly jumped and hit Roy's arm with a chuckle.

"I would love to see you in some skinny jeans." Roy said as he grabbed Kaldur's hand lead him to the zeta.

"Where are we going?" Kaldur asked as he walked with him.

"It's a surprise." Roy said as he beamed them to Star.
