Never meant to be?

The battle

As Roy fought the Spears, he kicked himself for going by himself. He knew that he shouldn't have gone alone but he was pissed. When he gets pissed he fights. As he fought or tries to fight his way out of a corner one of the circle, he pulled out a gun. Suddenly the man hands froze in ice. The guy was wrapped in a water rope and pulled away from Roy. One by one the guys were beaten to the ground.

"Aqualad! You're here." Roy said as he rushed to hug Kaldur loosely.

"Someone has to save you my love." Kaldur said as he hugged Roy back.

As they relaxed in the embrace they heard the door began lopened. They let each other go and armed themselves. The relaxed when they realized that it was the team.

"Well aren't you two comfy." Black Carny said with a smirk.

Both of the boys blushed as they stared at each other. Roy saw something out of the corner of his eye. He saw a sniper.

"Sniper!" He shouted as he pushed Kaldur to the ground.

The gun shot off and went into Roy's chest. The team took out the sniper and the rest of the gangs as Kaldur looked at his fallen lover.

"Arrow. Please. Wake up." Kaldur begged to Roy.

He tried to stop the bleeding but it just kept coming. Roy opened his eyes as blood started to drop out of his mouth. He took Kaldur's hand and squeezed it tightly. Kaldur saw a small glimmer of hope for him. Roy smiled to him before he passed out. Kaldur looked for a pulse but couldn't find one.

"Black Carny! Help!" Kaldur shouted to her.

She rushed to Roy and had Conner pick him up. They rushed him to the infirmary at the watchtower. Kaldur didn't let go of Roy's hand the whole time until the doctors separated them. Kaldur waited nervously with his mentor. He couldn't stop looking at his bloodily hands. Kaldur couldn't help but think what if? Kaldur and Roy both had to fight. Kaldur had to fight his owning from worrying himself too much and Roy had to fight for his life.
