2 weeks later
Zarina's POV

"Zarina wake up."

I opened my eyes. Koda was trying to wake me up. "What do you want?"

"We're getting married today, remember?"

I quickly got up, "is it time? And where's my sister."

Koda rolled his eyes, "Karina and Coltan are all ready, we're just waiting for you."

"Okay, let's go." Koda and I walked out of the cave. My parents were in the middle of a conversation with Coltan and Karina. "Hey mom, Hey dad."

Mom smiled, "hey, you're finally awake."

"Yeah, I'm sorry about that."

"So are you two ready?" Mom asked.

I nodded, "Of course." Coltan, Karina, Koda and I stood in front of Rafiki. Rafiki started the ceremony.

"We are gathered here today to witness the marriage of Coltan and Karina, and Koda and Zarina. Let's start with Koda and Zarina. Koda, do you take Zarina to be your wife?"

"I do."

"Zarina, do you take Koda to be your husband?"

"I do."

Rafiki turned to Coltan and Karina.

"Coltan, do you take Karina to be your wife?"

"I do."

"Karina, do you take Coltan to be your husband?"

"I do."

"I now pronounce you husband and wife you may kiss the bride."

Koda kissed me and Coltan kissed Karina. The four of us walked back into pride rock.

"So Karina, when is your coronation?" Koda asked.

Karina shrugged, "I don't know. I still think Zarina is making a mistake."

I shook my head, "I'm not making any mistake. You're going to make an awesome queen."

"I hope you're right."

I smiled, "of course I am." Dad came running into pride rock. "Dad, what's wrong?"

"There are outlanders attacking the pride lands."

"Where's uncle Kion and the lion guard?" Karina asked.

"They're fighting, but they're loosing."

"But how's that possible?" I asked.

"There are lions among the attackers."

My eyes widened, "oh no, this isn't good."

"What are we going to do?" Karina asked.

"I'm afraid we might have to leave the pride lands," dad said.

"What?!" We all yelled.

"But dad, this is our home," I said.

"And I promise that we will return one day, but until our pride is strong enough to fight off the outlanders we need to find a new place to live."

"But what about the other animals?" Karina asked.

"I've already talked to all of them. They said that they're going to try their best to avoid the out landers. Except Rafiki, he will be coming with us."

"Are they sure? Why can't they come with us?" I asked.

Dad nodded, "because there is not enough food in the out lands, and so the said they'd stay. Trust me I really wish they could come. Now come on we need to go. Kiara has already taken the rest of the pride to the out-lands."

The five of us left the cave and met up with my mother in the out-lands. When we got there uncle Kion and the lion guard were all ready there. Uncle Kion looked guilty. And I can understand why.

"Okay, Good you guys made it," mom said.

"we should get going," uncle Kion said.

Mom looked around, "Wait where is Juniper and Xander?"

Before anyone could react Coltan ran back into the pride lands. Karina called after him, but he didn't stop.

Coltan's POV

I searched for Juniper and Xander. "Xander?! Juniper?!" I heard someone scream, it was Juniper. I ran in her direction. I found her and Xander surrounded by two lions. "Leave them alone!" Both lions looked at me.

"Coltan!" Juniper cheered.

"Who are you?" One of the lions asked.

"I'm Coltan, now move away from them before I make you." They both laughed at me.

"There are two of us and only one of you," the second lion said.

I ran and attacked him. He stumbled backwards. I stood in front of the twins protectively. The first lion attacked, but I dodged him. The second lion tried to claw me but he missed.

"Coltan, watch out!" Juniper cried.

I turned around right as the first lion jumped to pounce on me, but he was intercepted in the air. It went so fast that I didn't see who it was. The second lion was stunned as to what happened. Karina was standing there.

"Hey Coltan."

I glared at her, but she just smirked at me. The second lion shook his head to get rid of the shock.

"Now, aren't you a beauty," the lion said movie closer to her.

The first lion got to his feet. He stood next to his friend. I left the twins and ran in front of Karina. "You had better not touch her."

"Oh, is she yours?" The second lion asked.

"Yes, she's mine, now get lost."

The first lion smiled, "make us."

I attacked, and a few minutes later they ran off with their tails between their legs. "Let's go," I grumbled. The three of them followed after me.

"Coltan, what's wrong?" Karina asked.

"Nothing, I'm fine."

"You don't seem fine, are you mad at me?"

"What ever gave you that idea?" I asked sarcastically.

"So you are mad at me?"

"Of course, I'm mad. You can be so reckless at times."

"I can be reckless?" She asked. "You're one to talk, you ran into the pride lands with out a second thought."

"Yeah, but that's different, I could handle them. You're just a lioness."

"Wait, So you're saying I can't fight because I'm a girl?" She asked angrily.

"Yes," I said.

"Fine."

We walked the rest of the way in silence. When we got back to everyone Karina stormed passed Zarina and her parents.

"What's wrong with her?" Zarina asked.

"We got into a fight and I kind've regret the way I talked to her. She attacked a lion that was like twice her size, and I guess it just scared me."

"You should apologize to her once she cools down," Zarina said.

I nodded, "I will."

"Okay everyone we should get going," Kovu said.

Everyone started walking. I took one last look at the pride lands before following after them.
