Jackal hadn't realised that this wasn't like a traditional meeting. At first, it was a briefing, then it was a meet and greet. He hadn't been used to talking to so many people, as the members of GEO were few. However, he began realising, these people were not any different than him really. However, regardless of how many people he talked to, his eyes still kept wandering over to Doc. There was something about those eyes. Doc has a look about him that no one else had. It was as if somehow, he had found it in him be both the healer and the killer. And the mix between the two fascinated the man to no end.
After a while, he found himself going back over to Doc, taking a seat next to him. "So you are from the GIGN, no? I have heard.. many stories about you guys. That not only have you dealt with many.. terrorist threats, but with dangerous protests and.. things?" Jackal's English was well enough for him to perfectly understand it, however he had trouble forming sentences.
Doc was rather surprised Jackal had wanted to speak to him again. Gustave wasn't hard to get along with, however frankly he expected Jackal to prefer the company of someone such as Ash, or Thermite for that matter. Doc took a sip of his coffee before nodding a bit. "We have done quite a bit. I didn't see as much action as people like Montagne, however, it was very hectic. What about you? I heard you helped catch the men responsible for the 2004 Madrid train bombing?"
Although his eyes sank a bit, Jackal kept is grin. "That's right.. they werent really hard to find." He left it at that.
A voice interrupted the conversation. "Hey, Gustave!" Ash's voice called out. Doc smiled a bit at Jackal "one moment" he said, before standing up and going over to Ash. "Oui?" He asked
"You mind sharing your place with the new guy for now? Six got them here so fast, we haven't prepared an apartment space yet, and the closest hotel is about 90 miles from here." Ash had a bit of pleading look in her eye.
Doc smiled a big smile. "Non, non, that wouldn't bother me at all!" he turned around to hide his blush. 'A little too enthusiastic' he thought, as Ash gave him a little smile and gently pushed him arm. "Him? Wow. I never knew you-"
Doc didn't let her finish her sentence. "It's nothing like that.." he said quietly
