"My parents are rather.. well off. They paid for the furnishings, said no son of theirs would live in a place so bare." He chuckled. Gustave tried to be very open about himself to most people, to help gain their trust. As a medic, people had to know him, to believe he would save them if they needed it. And now, they do.

Jackal went quiet. He was not used to speaking so much to people outside of his work. Ever since he was a teenager, he wasn't normal.  There weren't dates, no parties, no friends over. It was just his brother's murder, his studies, and his training.  So now after over 30 years of this, it was what.. a ROOMATE. 'What was I thinking?! I don't know how to talk to people, or girls or in this case..  guys!

He realised that he was probably expected to respond. "It seems like they care... a lot," Jackal stated. More conversation. However, as minutes turned to hours, the conversations became less and less awkward, and more, fun for lack of a better word.  Jackal actually began having real conversations. About some of his more leisurely hobbies, Doc opened up a bit about his backstory, about the pressure his family put on him, and his time at school.

Jackal enjoyed listening more than speaking, however, the conversation was going well. However, at around 22:00 (10 PM) Doc sighed a bit. "It'll be a long day tomorrow, I'm gonna get to bed." He said, as Jackal's eyes fell a bit before nodding. He didn't know why it mattered. It would still just be another night of the same thing he'd been dealing with for decades.  Jackal opened one of his boxes, that had most of the information about Faisal's murder, pouring over it for the hundredth time.  It would keep him busy for a while. 10 PM turned into 11 PM, which turned into 3 AM.

Finally, at 6 in the morning, he sighed, taking a shower, washing his hair before quickly exiting  the shower, wrapping a towel around himself before yawning tiredly. Four days without sleep. He walked back to his room.

Doc had heard the ruckus at 5:30, of Jackal rummaging through his belongings to begin putting things away. He decided to quietly pay him a courtesy and began brewing a pot of coffee. His sensitive ears heard the shower upstairs begin running, however, it felt like the as soon as the water started, it ended. After what Doc had assumed was a reasonable amount of time, he made Jackal a cup of coffee, guessing how he liked it. He took Jackal as a black with sugar type guy, so that's what he made. He carried the mug up the stairs, before opening the door, finding Jackal only in the towel from before, trying his hair with another one. He felt the mug falter a bit in his hand as he tried to steady himself a bit.

Jackal turned around, slightly startled before widening his eyes a bit.  "Can I... help you..?" He asked, as Doc began stuttering.

"It doesn't look like you slept very well.. NOT that I'd know looking at your- Well.. I mean, I thought you'd enjoy a nice hot body." He realised his mistake as Jackal got a genuinely amused smile on his face. "I- I MEAN- COFFEE! A nice hot cup of coffee!" Doc set it down on the nearby dressing before practically running out of the room.

From upstairs, he could hear the sound of laughter. At least the tired bastard could be ina  bit of a good mood.

Jackal laughed the moment Doc left the room. Maybe it was the sleep deprivation, but that was one of the best experiences of his life. He took the cup of coffee, taking a sip, before staring at the mug in shock. Not only was it prepared how he liked it, but it was the best damn coffee he'd had! Better than the paste that they called coffee at G.E.O.
