Virgil and Logan had a connection that the others just couldn't understand most of the time. They could make the other smile just by walking into a room. It soon became pretty clear to the others that they liked each other, but Thomas had made them promise they wouldn't interfere and mess it up for them.
One of their favourite activities to do together was star gazing, nothing but the stars and moon with them as they lay beside each other, staying up for hours just absorbing their presence like it was the drug they needed to live.
Virgil wanted to share his feelings for Logan with him, but couldn't figure out how to actually tell him. He decide he would just write him a letter, describing his feelings to him in ink on paper.
While Virg was writing his letter, Logan was planning a sort of special star gazing date for him and Virgil. He wanted to share his feelings too and thought it would be good to do it by showing him. He packed a small picnic for them with a few of Virgil's favourite treats and snacks, which he tried to make himself.
When Virgil finished the letter for Logan, his thoughts decided to turn against him, attacking him with all the what ifs.
What if Logan doesn't feel the same?
What if he doesn't even like you?
What if he just throws your letter into the trash?
What if you scare him off from being your friend?
What if he's just using you?
What if he hurts you?
What if you hurt him?
Virgil's thoughts continued to spiral and he slipped into a panic attack, unable to stop it by himself.
Logan was on his way to Virgil's room to get him when he heard whimper and sharp breathing from the other side of Virgil's door. Logan knew right away that he was having a panic attack, so he enter his room and jumped right into action.
As Logan helped Virgil calm down, he saw a letter on the desk with his name on it, so he grabbed it and quickly read it. When he finished it, he felt so relieved and happy to know that Virgil shared his feelings.
Once Logan was sure that Virgil was calmed down, he took his hand and led him out to their special spot for star gazing. Virgil's heart sped up a little bit when he saw the trouble Logan went to with the picnic with his favourite snacks and treats.
"Aww Logan! You didn't have to do all of this for me!" His eyes shone and his heart fluttered as Logan grabbed both his hands and took him over to the picnic to sit down.
"Tonight is a special night, why shouldn't j treat you with your favourites?" Logan's voice was heavily laced with his feelings which he would swear up and down he couldn't have, but yet, here he was, sitting across from the one making his heart burst with them.
"Thank you Logan, for everything." Virgil could feel something in the air that made his hairs stand on end and his nerves alert, but in a good way, in an exciting way.
His eyes met Logan's, and he immediately started to blush and was he ever thankful that it was too dark for Logan to see. His heart was racing, knowing that Logan was gonna make a move.
Logan started to lean in, and Virgil did too. They kissed, and boy was it ever a damn good kiss! Virgil's mind was racing with trains of though being blown away, completely unable to stay in the tracks. And Logan's heart was exploding, overflowing with the love it held for Virgil.
And they spent the rest if the night like that, holding each other under the comforting glow of a billion stars.
