"Hello, earth to (Y/n)," Hermione says while snapping her fingers directly in front of my face in order to grasp my attention.

I immediately jump out of my half asleep state and blink rapidly, trying to clear my vision. Once my eyes set on Hermione I smile, letting out a small sigh.

"Sorry, I couldn't get much sleep last night," I reply sheepishly, trying to rub the sleep, or lack there of, from my eyes.

Or the past five nights.

By the time I tried to leave the Slytherin Dungeon on the first night of helping Draco, it was already midnight. It took an hour for him to sneak me back to my dorm. Mostly because both of us kept running into a wall every five seconds, resulting in us dying of multiple fits of laughter. It was one in the morning before my head hit my pillow and even then I couldn't seem to fall asleep. Every time I closed my eyes I saw Draco's.

And his crooked charming smile.

And his shiny platinum blonde hair.

And the way faint dimples appear when he laughs.

Every night after that was the same, well, mostly. I kept staying later and later in Draco's room, never really being forced to do anything, though I did do what he asked me to. Being Draco's servant isn't as miserable as I had imagined, it's actually far from it. In the short time I've spent with him I've discovered one thing about him that I never would have dreamed to be true.

Draco Malfoy is actually a decent person, apart from his lewd sense of humor.

"Oh bloody hell, she's doing it again," Ron groans impatiently, once again violently snapping me out of my dream-like state.

My face becomes slightly flustered as I stare at the witch and wizard in front of me. "I'm sorry, what were you saying?" I ask, painting an innocent smile onto my lips.

"I said where's Cedric?" Hermione repeats, sounding a little irritated.

My brows furrow at her question and I immediately turn in my seat to look to my left. Sure enough, the seat next to me, Cedric's, is completely empty. My mouth parts slightly in bafflement as I stare dumbfounded at the vacant chair.

"I didn't notice him not being here," I reply honestly, still staring at the eerily empty chair.

"Well it's good to know I was missed."

All of our eyes snap up to the wizard who is now walking towards us, completely ignoring the stares boring into him because of his immense tardiness. He flashes me his signature cocky grin before almost shoving me out of my chair, chuckling as he stops me from my descent to the floor. I roll my eyes and turn to face him as he sits down in his seat.

"Where were you?" I ask, noticing his disheveled uniform and robe.

Cedric simply chuckles, running a hand through his unusually messy hair. "I was on my way here, right behind you, when something caught my eye. Or someone rather. A certain white-blonde haired Slytherin who was paying a little too much attention to you as you walked past him. So, naturally, I decided to see just what he was looking at you for. And you won't believe what he told me," Cedric explains, his eyes leaving mine briefly to glance at Ron and Hermione, who are both turned around in their seats, listening intently. "Malfoy had the nerve to say he was admiring how your unusually short skirt made your legs look more alluring than normal."

I feel my face instantly flush at his words and subconsciously pull at my skirt in useless attempts to make it longer. Hermione and Ron's eyes immediately flicker to me, their mouths falling agape. I try to appear as unaffected as possible, though I know my face is giving me away.
