one week later.

Luke and I looked to my finished, decorated room

Something I had never been able to do.

"What now?" I smiled to him, seeing him smile back to me.

"I guess it's time to catch you up on what being a kid is like" he spoke.

"Like what?" I asked.

"We're going to put you into school if you want, get you some friends, take you out, travel, we're going to do everything you were never able to do" he spoke, rubbing my shoulders gently.

I was nervous

What would a normal life be like?

Would I like it?

What if it was worse than the life before?

I felt Luke kiss the back of my head, hugging me tightly

"Thank you" I mumbled to him.

"For what?" He questioned to me

"Never giving up on me" I exhaled.

He smiled, pulling me into another hug.

"Never have, never will"

one week later.

I felt tears in my eyes as I watched my sister meet her kidney donor.

Did the guys know I had snuck out of Luke's office to check on her?

Nope.

They wanted me as far from my parents as possible, but they couldn't keep me from not snooping once or twice.

I watched her and the donor talking, smiles on both of their faces.

I felt a tear fall

Why was I crying?

I wasn't sad that I wasn't donating

I just felt

Like I didn't have a purpose anymore

My whole life was dedicated to her, to keeping her alive.

And now someone else is doing that.

"This is a good thing" my dads voice spoke.

I turned quickly, seeing him looking to me, holding something in his hand.

"I was actually looking for you" he wiped his nose, clearing his throat.

"Here" he spoke, hanging me a small box.

I took it into my hands slowly, opening it.

"I'm sorry I let everything happen to you" his voice cracked lightly as I took out a ring with angel wings on it.

I felt tears invade my eyes more

As much as I hated them

My dad hit hard- he wasn't always there for me, but he surely was there for me more than my mom and sister

He was all I had for a good while.

"I just got you that, because you'll always be my little angel" he laughed, wiping a tear as my own fell.

"You can take it back if you want, it's from Kay's-" I hugged him.

I felt his arms wrap around me tightly

The first time he had hugged in over a year.

I felt him cry into me as I held my tears, failing slowly.

As I opened my eyes- preparing to pull away, I saw Luke and Ash, smiling lightly as they watched.

I slowly pulled away, looking to him.

"Bye dad" I let myself say slowly.

"Goodbye princess"
