Alexandra’s POV

I mentally thanked Michael once again for saving me from Calum. I really owed him for everything he has done for me. I could see more cars arriving, closer to the entrance, seeing a few girls and guys going inside. I was snapped out of my thoughts as Calum pushed me off of him, letting me sit back where I was in the passenger seat. I lay my head back against it, as Calum stepped out of the car to talk to Michael. I watched their lips as they argued, clearly over what had just happened.

“Calum that’s basically rape! How far were you going to go?!” Michael shouts, throwing his hands up in frustration while he got a shrug in reply. “I don’t know. I wasn’t thinking. She liked it, I know she wanted to” Calum says slowly, looking in at me with a smile. Michael just laughed, “Do you not see how terrified she is right now? Jesus Calum” He snaps, walking around to my side of the car.

He opens the door, and motions for me to step out. He opens his arms and lets me step into his warm embrace, patting my back. “Calum I think its best you left. I’ll take her inside, and drop her home later. Goodbye” Michael said, his voice dominant and stern. Calum just nods, rubbing his forehead as he sits back into the car, hitting the steering wheel before firing up the engine.

“Its ok Lexie, you’re safe now” He hushes his voice, an arm wrapped around my shoulders as we begin our walk forward. He opened the warehouse door with quite a force, as I guessed it was stiff before we stepped inside. I could hear laughing, and multiple other voices inside but kept my eyes glued to the floor. It was a dark grey concrete, tiny stones littered the floor while the walls were a mix of concrete blocks and steel. The ceiling was slated in thin sheets of badly painted plastic, meaning it was damp and let barely enough light in to see. The lights dangled low, placed in random places, which made up for the roofing, since they were on.

“Hey Mikey! That was quick” A girls voice giggles, me being pushed to the side as she throws herself at him. His arms wrapped around her petite waist, as he places a small peck on her lips. When she finally broke out of his grasp, she saw me and smiled. Her hair was dark brown, her eyes a piercing green colour, much like my own. “My name’s Ray. Hi” She introduces herself making Michael let out a chuckle. “No, your names Rayne” He laughs.

I nod, as we walk closer to the rest of the group. There were two other girls, huddled up on a couch with their phones in hand. “Oh Hey!” A fair haired girl greeted, her eyes a sparkling blue, enhanced by the lights. “I’m Tabitha, but everyone calls me Tabs” She tells me, sticking her hand out so I shake it. “And I’m Rosie, Rosie Barker. But we’ve already met” The other chirps, clearly different from the other two. She had a pale complexion, light brown hair which cascaded down her back, while her eyes were just as deep of green as they were earlier. I barely got a good look at her earlier, so I was glad to have done that now.

I smile at her, as she pats the couch beside her, making me sit down. Michael came walking over, standing out since he was the only guy here. “Oh yeah sorry, that’s Lexie. She doesn’t talk since the ac- Never mind” He quickly covers up and tells a joke. I just sit there staring into thin air until smoke wafts over in to my face. I cringe, using my hand to fan it away from me before I turn to look. Rayne and Tabitha were now smoking, taking long puffs of their cigarettes before exhaling loudly, sending a cloud of smoke to me and Rosie.

She was in the same mind set as me, swatting it away with her hands. The door then opened, making the noise echo throughout the empty space. I glance up to see Calum and Luke walking in with smirks on their faces. “Luke!” Tabitha smirks, rising from her seat and jumping into his arms. Instead of giving her a kiss, he pinches her butt teasingly, as she sucks on his neck. Rayne gagged, turning to face me. “This happens all the time PDA is a big thing in their relationship” She groans. Calum strides over to me cockily and lifts me, placing him on his lap.

“Missed you baby” He pouts, nibbling my earlobe in efforts to make it look like we were together. I squirmed uncomfortably in his lap, Rosie immediately noticing my discomfort. “Actually Calum, I was just about to take her out for coffee. Here isn’t her type of place” She pipes in, standing up from her seat. “Here isn’t your type of place either Rose, she wants to stay. Don’t you babe?” Calum asks, looking me dead in the eye.

I bite my lip out of nervousness and nod, but Rosie grabs my hand and pulls me off of him. “Too bad, let’s go” She giggles, walking me outside. She slammed the door behind her and motioned me over to what I’m guessing was her car. I got in the passenger seat while she got into the driver’s side, speeding back into town.

“Where would you like to go?” She asks with a small grin, pulling the car into an almost vacant parking lot. I shrug my shoulders at her as she points to a small music shop. “Want to show me what music you like?” She asks, trying to get to know me without me talking. I nod, grateful for the small friendship we had, deep down I hoped we’d become good friends. I only finally caught a glance at the music shop she had pointed out, seeing it was the place Ashton worked.

It was a small job, but any money was good enough for him. I pushed the door open carefully, hearing the bells chime to bring us to attention. I could see his curly hair over the counter, as he stood up seeing us both standing there. I smiled and waved, causing Rosie to look at him. He blushed, quickly running off to the backroom.

“So…which do you like?” She asked cautiously raking through the CDs. I began to look through them too, pulling out a few albums Green day, Blink182, Arctic Monkeys and more. Her eyes glistened as she saw, immediately squealing. “Me too! Great taste in music there Lex” She claps her hands together, giving me a nickname.

“Hey Lexie” I hear Ashton from behind me, as he gives me a quick hug. “And you are?” Rosie smiles, looking between the two of us. “Oh sorry, I’m Ashton. Ashton Irwin, Lexie’s cousin” He smiles at her, sticking out his hand. “I’m Rosie” She smiles back, her cheeks reddening as he rubs his thumb over the back of her hand while they shake. Ashton looked me in the eyes, as I was mentally begging him to ask her out. “Lexie wants to know if you want to come over tonight for dinner? She can bring Calum. Have a double date” He chuckles, running a hand through his locks. “How do you know she wanted to ask that?” Rosie giggles, playfully hitting his forearm.

“Just have that kind of bond. So...” He trails off looking at her.

“Sure” She chirps, nodding slowly.

“It’s a date” He smiles, proud with himself.

“Yeah, it’s a date” She confirms
